Your army may be lead by Lord Tregar, Prince of the Forest of Loren. If you decide to do this Tregar replaces the Wood Elf General in the army list.

Lord Tregar was born in a time of strife and war, and during his childhood he would practise his fighting skills with his father. It was immediately apparent that he was an extremely talented fighter, agile and quick on his feet. Gradually his father weakened of illness and told Tregar of his gift and told him how he must destroy the enemies of Athel Loren. He handed to his son a bright and precious bracelet, which he told him to wear at all times. This was the Bracelet of Arcane Secrets.

Lord Tregar heard the voice of Ariel commanding him to leave and fight at once, so he left. At Doom Valley he won a decisive victory against the Orc hordes. Doom Valley is a narrow chasm near Birch Glade, and Tregar was able to send his fast troops round their flanks while the main army distracted the foe. In the fighting, Tregar swooped down on his Great Eagle to battle Gungrok, the Orc warlord. Tregar's agility was clearly and advantage and he desposed of the warlord. Holding up the warlord's head he shouted "Let all that challenge the forest feel this wrath!", the Orcs turned and fled and were cut down by the troops that had advanced round the flanks. His name spread all over the Old World as the 'Prince of the Forests'.

As he grew older and wiser he was drawn to the Oak of Ages. There, hidden amongst the frail leaves of autumn, he found the Lance of Garon, a weapon of great power. With this, Tregar became even greater and stronger, and to this day he is still growing stronger.

On the battlefield Lord Tregar is an inspiring character, mounted atop his trusty eagle, Doom Talon, he leads the Wood Elf armies to glorious and triumphant victories, routing and destroying all those who threaten the forests.

WEAPONS/ARMOUR: Lord Tregar never wears armour and carries only his magical items.

MAGIC ITEMS: Lord Tregar may carry up to three magic items in total but the first two magic items he chooses must be the Bracelet of Arcane Secrets and the Lance of Garon. The third magic item may be taken from the Battle Magic supplement.

MOUNTS: Lord Tregar may ride Doom Talon (Great Eagle) or any other monster normally available for Wood Elf warlords. Alternatively, he may be on foot.

Dodge

Lord Tregar is abnormally quick and agile. So quick that he can dodge the blows and shots of his foes. Lord Tregar may attempt to dodge any missile or close-combat attack on 4+, unless he is riding Doom Talon where he is unable to dodge (Doom Talon isn't as quick as him!). Note that this save may never be modified.

Incredible Agility

Lord Tregar always strikes first in close-combat, even if he is armed with a double-handed sword, etc. However, if an opponent has a magical item allowing them to strike first, e.g.. Sword of Swift Slaying, then there is a roll-off.

Immune to Psychology

Lord Tregar is immune to all types of psychology (fear, terror, etc.) and if he leads a unit this will apply to the unit also. He may be broken as normal.

Bracelet of Arcane Secrets

The Bracelet of Arcane Secrets allows Lord Tregar to dispel any harmful magic cast against him on a 4+. If he leads a unit this will apply to the unit also.

Lance of Garon

The Lance of Garon starts with the same rules as a normal lance, but as Lord Tregar slays more powerful foes it grows in power. The lance will gain +1 on its strength bonus for every enemy character killed worth over 100 points.
