The Guys Team

The Men's Team in Penang 1997. They were 2nd runner-up in the men's race.

The guys also come from different background. There are those who are still serving in the army, some already in the working population and many are still students from Polytechnic and Universities in Singapore.

The men's team often race in a full-sized dragonboat.

The champion team who went for the Japan race. The guys emerged champion in 1997 Japan race. The race is such that the boat has to go one round circle. Such a race is rarely seen in Singapore.

12 of the best paddlers were selected from the men's team to go for the Japan race last year 1997. The guys did well and emerged as the champion team. Notice the guys team (right photo, the boat nearest to our view) making a turn faster than its opponent team. In such a race, it is not a straight course, every team has to make a turn back to the finishing line.
