BANDIPURA NATIONAL PARK

Introduction:Bandipura national park in the stateof karnataka is one of the tiger reserves in india.Bandipura national park is flanked by karnataka's nagarhole national park to its northeast,mudumalai wildlife sanctuary of tamilnadu to its south and wynad wildlife sanctuary to its southwest.Together, these four protected areas constitute the nilgiri biosphere reserve and encompasses an area of about 5500 sq.km

Topography:The total area of the park is 874.2 sq.km

Attractions:Mammals:Indian elephant,gaur,Four horned antelope,common giant flying squirrel,tiger, leopard,asiatic wild dog or dhole. Birds:Over 230 species of birds. Reptiles:Marsh crocodile,starred tortoise,etc.

Visiting hours:6.00 to 9.00 hrs and 15.30 to 18.30 hrs
