What can the MOMS Club® of Richmond-Innsbrook offer you?………

We are a non-profit international organization with over 1,500 chapters and more than 75,000 members in seven countries..

The MOMS Club® of Richmond-Innsbrook was established in Feb. of 2001.

We have monthly meetings with childcare provided.  At the meetings we discuss our monthly events, vote on different activities, and receive member input.  It’s also a great time to socialize (after the meeting, of course!) and maybe meet a new friend.

Playgroups- We have a playgroup coordinator  and based on your child’s age and what groups are available, she will get you in touch with other moms in the club. Each individual group decides on a weekly time and day to meet.  Playgroups are your main source of support – since these are the people you will see and talk to the most.  Of course, we are all here to help and support you in any way possible, but playgroup is generally where you make the best friends.

Babysitting Co-op- This is an exchange of babysitting based on a point system.  It’s easy to sign up and get some free time here and there even if it’s for an hour so you can go to the grocery store alone; it’s a great mommy/sanity break.

Helping Hands- This is also a coordinated position. When a member has had a baby, surgery or anything else that prevents her from providing for her family she gets the wheels in motion to provide her with meals, get help with errands, or help around the house.  Again, this is another great way for us to support one another.

The MOMS Club® of Richmond-Innsbrook has its own website that is updated periodically with articles from various sources. The website address is posted in the newsletter every month.  Also, the international MOMS Club® has an interesting website as well. Again, that information including username and password can be found in your monthly newsletter.

Lastly, the MOMS Club® is all about support and meeting new people.  It stands for Moms Offering Moms Support – the reason the MOMS Club® was developed was to support the mother-at-home by creating a friendly, welcoming environment for mothers to explore THEIR interests during daylight hours when moms need contact most.  And, of course, children are always welcome to attend.  The MOMS Club® believes that having children present is a natural part of life.  We just wanted to remind people that this club is really supposed to be for the MOMS, not the children.  Many of us joined with the intention of finding things to do with our kids, but we should all use the club as a resource for ourselves.
