The Siraman station.

The Siraman.  Ritual of purification through water containing the flowers of 7 plants. Look at that nipple! :)

MMMMmmmm!  Feels so refreshing on this long, hot morning!  Thanks Dad and Mom!

Ita's Siraman.  Oh, Daddy, please don't cry!  I'm still your princess!  Oh, wait, that's just water, not tears! :)

Ita, tired and alone, after the Midodareni.

In the mosque, after the wedding ritual, holding the dowry of gold jewelry (but not the cash! who's got the cash?!)

The wedding/reception platform.

Wedding ritual: Dahar Kembul (feeding each other).

Wedding ritual: Dahar Klimah (giving each other a drink of water).

Wedding ritual: Pull a chicken in two to see who will be the boss.  Guess who lost?!

Ita: HAHAHAHA!  I'm the QUEEN!

Glenn:  No fair! You didn't tell me what was happening 'til after you won!

Wedding ritual: Kacar-Kucur. The cloth is full of yellow rice and coins.  The symbolism here is that I'm giving control of the money to Ita by pouring it into her lap.  Later, we toss the coins and rice into the audience for them to keep.  Go figure.

Giving Wahyu his pelangkahan (gifts given to older siblings who are unmarried).

Don't we look grand?

Glenn in his reception outfit.  Don't ask me why Ita made the photo look over-exposed.  (shrug)

Glenn and Ita getting intimate in the newlywed's bedroom.

Smile for the cheese...cake! ;)

Glenn: Is it over yet?

Ita: No, dummy, keep smiling!

Glenn: This would be much better if I didn't have to pose so awkwardly.

Ita: That's the point!  You're not supposed to be comfortable!  You're supposed to look good!

The newlyweds propping each other up wearing their reception costumes in their bedroom.

Glenn: Come here, my lovely!

Glenn: This isn't very comfortable.

Ita:  It's not supposed to be.  We're just supposed to look good!

Ita:  Move in closer, honey!

Both: That's more like it! :)
