How do I join IPMS Manila?

Simply register at http://ipmsmanila.proboards34.com and introduce yourself in the forum. From there, you will be able to know when and where our next meeting will be. Join the meeting...meet new friends...then you can join the club! That's how easy it is!

What does it take to be a member?

Simple! (1) You have to either be a plastic scale modeler or collector; (2) You are encouraged to join club meetings set once a month; (3) You must NOT be a current member of another IPMS chapter in the Philippines; (4) You must pay an annual membership fee currently set at P300.00; and (5) Your completely filled application form is processed and approved by the officers of the club.

Do I have to be a good modeler to join or  be accepted?

IPMS Manila wants both new and experienced modelers in its club. For as long as you pass the minimum requirements written above, there is no reason for you not be a member.

What are the benefits of a member?

The most important benefit our membership looks for in our club is the learning experience they get from other members.  With a club like ours, you don't have to enjoy the hobby ALONE.  Members are also encouraged to join Internal Club Contests and National Competitions.  We also have swap meets, tours, etc. And last but not the least, we have FUN!!!!

When does the Club meet?

IPMS Manila meets once a month usually set on every third Sunday of the month.  As it was mentioned above, register at http://ipmsmanila.proboards34.com and from there, you will get the information you need.

I have heard of other IPMS Clubs. Is IPMS Manila any different?

IPMS Manila is only one of the several existing clubs around the Philippines.  Like other clubs, IPMS Manila has monthly meetings, contests, exhibits, etc.  The only difference we have from other IPMS clubs is that we are the ONLY chapter of IPMS USA in the Philippines. In our club, we have a culture that encourages members to speak out. We encourage members to openly suggest what they think would be an exciting idea for the members. We encourage participation and team building in the society. We also have other activities the improve the inter-relationship of our members. Come and see it for yourself. You'll feel what we mean.

If I am a member of IPMS Manila, can I still join other competitions not sponsored or organized by IPMS Manila?

But of course you can! Anything to help boost your enthusiasm and improve you skills! We will even help you have award winning entries!
