Who is Irishgurrl??......

That is a very good question!! *S*  Irishgurrl is a divorced female that is part
Irish and part German.  A lovely mixture eh?!? *S*  Irishgurrl is in the phase of
her life of 'discovery' - discovery of 'self' and discovery of how good life can be when we just learn to 'let go' - and live one day at time.  Funny what we can discover about ourselves and the world around us - if we just take the time to!! 

Irishgurrl is is a writer who loves people.  Living down south you just learn over
the years that people need each other.  Through good and bad.  I have always
believed that.  I still do.  I have had my share of 'both' in my 40+ years on this
earth.  I still do.   I have learned to become what is now called a "Survivor". 
Meaning...I have had love, laughter, and tears in my lifetime.   I have always
written poetry - but now feel my poems can make a difference to someone out
there.  Touching someone physically on the hand is fairly easy; touching some-
ones' heart takes years of practice and help of what I consider "Divine Inter-
vention.  *S*  I know my writings come from a place deep inside of me that
draws on my life experiences', people I have known-and people I meet.   I'm
nobody special on Gods' green earth - I just share the truth - however I may
see it.    I feel I see it fairly well most of the time.  I am also still learning.

I live as I said in the south - deep in the countryside.  Life is precious to me.
So are people.  Everyone I meet I consider an opportunity to learn something 
from.  Even IF I 'disagree'.  I've learned that you can find out a lot and learn
more by listening to what other people say and 'think';' than you can by trying
to convince them you are 'right'.  *S*  We all are different.  Here in the south
life is 'laidback' in the country.  But one thing I've observed - People all still
rush and sometimes don't sit still long enough to stop and take time to just enjoy
the one and only Gift we should all hold more precious than anything we have...

and that GIFT is the Gift of LIFE!!

That's why I write about it so much I guess.  Being a divorced female who has
seen 'her share' of heartache, death and loss of friends, and pain...I finally
decided one thing; the "REST" of my life is going to be whatever I make it!!  I
can sit and moan and groan over my 'personal losses' (which are many) - OR I 
can make up my mind to DO something that may leave a smile on someone elses'
face or touch their life.  I decided to do the 'later'.  One day I know...some-
where...if not in MY lifetime; I know know it will all be worth it.  You can't ever
lose when you are a giver.  You can take that one to the bank.  I 'know'.  *S*
If I don't write a poem on my site that INSPIRES you, or MOVES you...then
dangit...WRITE ME; because I'm slacking off somewhere...and I want to know 
where I stopped doing something that I want my poems to do - Touch a life!
I'm far from being a 'boring person'.  *S*  I can promise you the site isn't!!
You will find poetry, beautiful fantasy artwork by some of the 'best' here. 
You'll find beautiful and unusual graphic sets to embrace my work, along with
soft midi music.  I want this website to be refuge from your daily frantic
schedule, the kids or the days you need a lift or maybe a laugh!  I hope to do 
something here that will make you sit back and think.    Or laugh and smile....
There's a 'special dedication' on this site for women who have went through 
sexual child abuse.  It's called "Please Listen".  I at first was hesitant to put
this 'topic' up for a page - but now I am glad I did.  Don't regret it for a sec!
IF you are a Parent, Grandparent - READ THIS PAGE!!  I mean that.  You may
think "Why"?..such a 'horrid topic'!!?  YES- but it is ONE that needs to be
addressed; and there's no 'pretty way' to do that - but I feel it's important you
read this!   Sticking our 'heads in the sand' doesn't change a thing - we can't
afford to!  If you have a child or know one even; this page is meant for every-
one - Male AND female alike!  I hope you will find it comforting as a Survivor
of child abuse.   There's inspiratonal poems/writings here as well for you too.
There's a lot of Inspirational pages for WOMEN and for EVERYONE - so DO
bookmark this site for new pages  to come (and there WILL be more!)  *S*
This site is new but growing; and I hope to fill it with lots of interesting poems
and beautiful appplets for your viewing pleasure.  There will also be a few
humorous poems I've started - as I wanted to put some variety into this new site.
I want to make people wonder here "What WILL she write about "next"!?!  To 
me that is what keeps readers coming back to a website - "new and unique"!
I hope to make you laugh and make you think about Life  - but never bore you.

So, with that...I will say first THANK YOU for reading my pages.  I have met a
lot of wonderful people through creating webpages and online!   I have enjoyed
each email and 'chat' I have had with almost everyone online.  Just to let me
know you enjoy my pages here - write me a line or two!   I sure do enjoy hearing
from everyone all over the world; and as I said earlier...it makes NO difference
who we are OR where we 'come from'.....

People Need People.
