WATERLOO LODGE No.571 'TRAVELLING WARRANT'

	These are a Founder and Member Jewel of Waterloo Lodge No.571, The 1st King's Dragoon Guards. The Warrant was approved by the Grand Lodge of Ireland on 3rd December 1923 with a list of 28 founding members. The Lodge was Constituted in Cologne (Germany) on St. John's Day, 24th June 1924, with the first W.M. being John Bowers. The submission for a Members Jewel was received by the G.L. of Ireland on 25th May 1925. The Lodge had a membership of 197 brethren by Dec. 1951. In 1959 the Lodge changed its name to The 1st Queen's Dragoon Guards. Approval of the revised member's Jewel was approved on 18/02/1959. The Warrant was unfortunately returned in 1985. If anyone has a members Jewel with 'QDG' a scan would be much appreciated.
