OFFENSIVE LINEMAN OF THE WEEK
DEFENSIVE LINEMAN OF THE WEEK
Rochelle Hubs Football.com is selecting 2 year starter and sophomore lineman Taylor Isley. This does not come as a surprise as to this weks selection. Taylor has got to be one of the hardest working up and coming linemen in the Hubs organization. Great Job Taylor, keep playing like you do and those grades will come up each and every week!!
The Rochelle Hubs Football.com Defensive lineman of the week is Defensive End Jeff Rupenthal.
Jeff did nothing but make Kaneland's offense off balance all-night-long. His dominating presence made a statement with the Hubs first conference game and sent a message to the rest of the conference, that they had better be ready for Rochelle and the likes of Rupp when they line up accross from him!
Rochelle Hubs Football.com would like to salute Sophomore running back Dan Ruppenthal as this weeks Offensive Player of the week. An ex-lneman turned running back ran for 2 touchdowns and he recorder his first ever career 100+ ard rushing game. At times he ran with a mixed style of Pat Brownson and Mike Alstott. All we can say is Go Dan Go
Rochelle Hubs Football.com is recognizing Junior Ben Schwartz. Ben one interception and 5 tackles from his free safety postion in thew game against the Knights. On a night when the knights thought thewy could come into the Hubs New House and think they could repeat last years game, they were rudely welcomed by Ben and the rest of the Hubs Smothering Defense!
Rochelle Hubs Football.com has selected The entire Kick Off Squad as this weeks Special teams players of the week. On a night that found the Knights starting all of their offensesive possesions deep on their own territory. The Hubs made sure they kept the pressure on the Knights return men, by only allowing and average of 13 return yards on 6 kick offs.
