| Although it has been 31 years since I played High School Football on Helms Field my senior year, it still seems like yesterday that Coach Colbert was holding 3 a days on what always seemed to be the hottest days that any August had to offer. When preparing for any season there is a great deal of hard work, sacrifice and dedication that goes into it. From the start of Hubs Football in 1907 and over the years, with the likes of coaches Gardner, McCarthry, Helms, Ellis, Correll, Bender, Colbert, Conrad and many more and the now current day Coach Crandall. The Hubs have always built on one thing, and that is the HUB PRIDE. A HUB PRIDE that has survived the likes of a depression, wars, and all the life changing expirence's that one could withstand. A HUB PRIDE that is shared by the players, coaches, fans and community. A HUB PRIDE that that flows through the bodies of all who know it well. A HUB PRIDE that is felt by all who step on the same field as the HUBS. A HUB PRIDE that I hope to show you with this web site. THANK YOU FOR VISITING I hope you come back to visit many times.
