Yes, It Happened, Saturday Night 9/01/01, I Got me a doe, a good sized one too. While My Wife and myself were on the way home, 11:30 PM. 2 Deer ran out in front of me. Thank GOD I missed the first one, a big Buck, and missed the doe at first but then the Doe got confused between the headlights of the oncoming car and the headlights and sound of the old Panhead,
(Thank God the old Pan is built like a tank,) because she turned and ran into the side of the old Panhead. Knocking me off the road and onto the shoulder of the road,(a 2" drop), as the bike started her wobble and nosed into the shoulder of the road , then sliding 65' on her side, we were thrown off just as she nosed into the ground and stopped about 10' in front of her to the side of the road, me landing on my head, my wife on her right shoulder, breaking her collar bone, me the third vertebrae down was fractured. both of us are up and going at it, a little slow for now but not going to give up biking for nothing. The Doc. said we will be 100% in time if we take care and don't push it.
I would Like To Give a BIG Thank You to the Person that stopped and Helped right after the accident You Were a Big Help Thank You, and to the Apalachin Fire Dep. Ambulance crew ,they were Great, I would also like to Thank the neighbors, Friends, and Family members that helped out, (you all know who you are So I won't put down names,) Thank you for the Help, The Food, Getting my bike back home, taking care of my kids, And wife while I was in and out of the hospital. I would like to thank them That cared enough to call and offer help in any way we needed it also, even though we didn't ask for an thing ,it is very appreciated, THANK YOU ALL!!!! From the bottom of our hearts.

We changed the kicker arm out at the towing place when we went to start her she started on the first kick, thats my Sweet girl..
