I asked my partner Krista to give me a Reiki session.  So she lit some candles.  We have this one white candle in our house that we use as an offering for the native American womyn spirit living in our home.  She lit that candle.  She did the Reiki on me.
Later that evening I was sitting in the living room and I heard this weird sound. I looked around the house thinking one of my cats may have peed on the floor!!  The white candle was making the noise.  The flame was about 5 inches high and all the wax was bubbling and pouring down the side.  So, I blew out the candle.
A few minutes later I went back in to clean up the wax and I couldn't believe my eyes!
On the side of the candle was a womyn.  She appears sideways and is glancing back over her shoulder at me.  She even has the ornate headdress Kuan Yin wears.
I tell you, every hair on my body stood up, and I got goose bumps. My eyes started to tear.
I thought I was hallucinating, so I asked Krista to come in and look at the candle.  Krista had the same reaction.  We were both so freaked out, we called our tenant upstairs to come and look.  Angela came downstairs and said "Oh my God honey, Kuan Yin is in this candle looking back at us!"  The three of us just stood there in awe.
I had been chanting to Kuan Yin quite a lot before the candle episode, asking or begging her to snap me out of a depression.  I wanted a sign everything would be ok, and I guess I got it!! :)

I worship the Goddess in all her many forms, but Kuan Yin is the one form that has always been a constant presence throughout my adult life.  For me, She is a Protectress, a Nurturer, a Wisdom Mother, a birthing Mother, a Goddess of the Sea, and so becomes an embodiment of all
my favourite Goddesses, all in one.
She continuously appears at crucial moments in my life, as a statue, a painting, a song, a jade pendant carved in her image, bringing solace and strength.  She reminds me that the
Goddess is always with us and if we ever feel seperate from her, that she is only a prayer away!

I went camping with a bunch of pagans and wiccans on some blessed land up near Flint, Michigan.  The owner had two shrines set up in the woods, one for Pan and one for Kuan Yin.
This friend of mind said he knew the way to Kuan Yin's shrine and we got lost.  I had a small statue of Kuan Yin in my pocket, so I took it out and asked her to guide me and I closed my eys and walked and I soon found the shrine.

I myself have had many experiences with Kuan Yin.  I live in Arizona and my first experience with Kuan Yin was in 1978.
I was walking in a store when a beautiful statue of a mystical oriental lady caught my eye.  I had to buy the statue then and there, not even knowing her name.
None of that came until 1990 when I later bought two statue lamps of her from a Japanese friend of mine (In Japan Kuan Yin is known as Kannon).
My most powerful experience wtih Kuan Yin was in 1992.  I was at a group meditation and she came to me.  I flew with her around the world on the back of her Crane.  We prayed for the light of God to bless all countries, and all peoples, animals, lands and governments.
