BIOGRAPHY:
The band started in 1997 and was called at first "Elegy". The first members line-up was: Noam Kimhi-Vocals & Dan Moav-Guitar which started in search for other fit members. the members that they found were: Ariel Gabizon-Lead guitar Bengy Leng-Bass Guitar Matan Meital-Vocals Ben Fisher-Drums When they all got together they started creating what they first thought to be doom metal music. But as soon as they found the members they got rid of them, what the band wanted to do is grim and dark doom, what the current members of the band did not know how to make this music so noam got rid of Dan and Ariel and they found new members to make true doom metal! Gilad Bar-Shalev was the new lead guitar player who came from the trash / speed metal scene, and Gil Polak on the guitar! Now the way to create doom metal was easy. The name of the band was replaced after receiving information about another band also with that name so the name was changed to: Hymns of Hades. After the news of Bengy's retirement from the band, they started searching again after new member and now for a bass player. Joseph .D. Darmon from the band Filigran joined the band after two concerts with them, in tour of the compilation "Demons of Jerusalem". Joseph changed a bit the style of the music to more melodic and powerful doom metal trying to bring some elements from the black and death metal. In the end of 1998 the band recorded her first demo with the current line-up: Noam Kimhi-vocals. Joseph .D. Darmon-guitar and bass. Ben Fisher-drums and precessions. This line-up is the current one, and we're wishing it to stay like that!
