Johnny Thunders NTSC DVD Compilation #1

Here are two Johnny Thunders shows, both dating from 1980. The first is from NYC club Heat and the second is a long set from Ann Arbor, MI. The disc begins with a short Thunders tirade against an unappreciative crowd, thrown on just for fun. Neither of these are pro-shot and both are now 25 years old. The Ann Arbor show is lower generation than Heat, which is pretty washed out, but they're both good shows, and the first of the Thunders material that I will be offering up. Rudimentary menus are included.

This one begins with the complete NY Dolls on Don Kirschner's Rock Concert segment. It also includes early, early Hearbreakers footage with Richard Hell on bass, as well as some footage whose source I am not able to indentify. There are two segments from a New York public access cable show called Inner Tube, an acoustic segment (from the Inner Tube studio, which is someone's apartment). The winds down with two songs recorded at Max's Kansas City, and ends with the complete unaired Swedish TV appearance that made Johnny front page news before getting him deported!
