Note: Not existing a Claudio Pontesilli’s web site, Sylvio opened  a page for his web site looking like a micro web site in the middle of his favourite links dedicated to the guitarrist Claudio.

Biography

Claudio Pontesilli born in Rome on June 3rd 1970. The guitarist played in the following bands: with "The Transformer Group" on 1993-95, with "Iperbole" then "Brain Damage" playing "Pink Floyd" covers on 1995-99, with "The Uncle Grunge Band" on 1995-96, sometimes with "Sylvio Cancrini G. Band" on 1996-01, with "Aritmia" on 1997. With "Academia Group" until 2001. Also Claudio played classical music at his high school music called "Nova Artes" since 1993. Claudio died on October 1st 2001 at 7:20 in the morning falling down from 5^ floor, it wasn t clear if it was an incident or a suicide. Great disperation for family and friends. Claudio even wished to do an his solo album. This dream is realized but too late. Luckely this music is still there. Infact, Sylvio Cancrini G. listened to the material on tapes chosing the best recorded at his house between 1989 & 1994 and then just in late 2001, Sylvio realize this album without playing any instrument with Claudio's playback tapes working just a simple producer. So, this Claudio Pontesilli’s album produced by Sylvio Cancrini G. titled "Sweet Claudio Guitarist" released in late 2001. Fabrizio Fontanelli (Mardi Gras), Sylvio Cancrini G. & Antoine "Wilbur Rail" Panunzio decide to organize a tribute concert for Claudio called "Claudio Pontesilli Tribute" with bands where Claudio played in there. Claudio was a good person for everybody. Now, Claudio’s playing with Wolfang Amadeus Mozart, Jimi Hendrix, Ian Curtis, John Belushi, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Freddie Mercury, Jeff Porcaro, Kurt Kobain, Rozzy Williams, Jerry Garcìa, Sterling Morrison, Lucio Battisti, Fabrizio De Andrè, Falco, Rick Danko, John Lee Hooker, George Harrison, John Entwistle & Johnny Cash.

Didn’t play "Goodbye cruel world" (Roger Waters) x same reasons, too

Gabriele announced the last song played by Sylvio alone during the beginning to put in order their instruments inside their big cases.

7) Sweet Jane (Lou Reed) (solo Sylvio) (some beautiful dark girl follow the song in clap hands with almost all audience and at the end of the song, Sylvio said to the audience: "Grazie"). It has been an interesting and enjoyng nice concert!
