Dr. No was the very first James Bond film. It was released in theaters in 1962, and published on video the following year. Based on Ian Fleming's best-selling novel about the British Secret Service agent with the code name 007, Dr. No instantly became a huge success and a classic American film. The story concentrates on a mysterious island in Jamaica called Crab Key, owned by a certain Dr. No. When Strangways, a British agent in Jamaica, is murdered, James Bond comes to solve the mystery. Featuring an action-packed chase across the beach and many other exciting sequences, Dr. No marked the beginning of what was to become the most famous series of films in the history of the U.S.
