TAKING photos from a kite (called Kite Aerial Photography) isn't as difficult as it may sound. When I talk of KAP  you probably visualize the type of kite you flew as a kid...a plastic diamond bought as a blue light special in the clearance bin for $1.99. Wrong! The kites that are used are sophisticated designs made of ripstop nylon with graphite spars and can hoist a camera up in winds as imperceptible as a whisper on lines as thin as angel hair pasta. Stick around and I'll show you how to do it.

This page is devoted to me, my family and to a bit of our history. To you die hard dog,  fishing and kite fanatics or anyone else who isn't interested just bear with me for a few minutes.

My name is Ray Bayer and I live in Allison Park, Pennsylvania which is a suburb of  Pittsburgh. I was born on April 24, 1951 which places me more than halfway through the downward spiral. I graduated from Fox Chapel High School in 1969 and from Duquesne University in 1977 with a degree in Elementary Education. As sometimes happens in life this road wasn't taken too far and I ended up as a mail carrier in Natrona Heights. All things considered it hasn't  been a bad choice although it's taken a toll on my legs. No  triathalons on my schedule.
In 1976 I married a girl who I consider to be  the crowning jewel of female evolution, the transcending peak of  womanhood....Kathy McNabb....now going by Kathy Bayer (points being scored here).  A registered nurse since 1982 she gives one wicked booster shot.
On December 24, 1981 Steve was born. After a rough ride on his birthing journey he has settled  on growing into the thoughtful, caring and well behaved young man that most parents hope for. He is an only child and over the years  we have grown into a tight threesome. Steve has a strict moral constitution and adheres strongly to it. He doesn't smoke, drink or involve himself in any of the ills that seem to haunt so many kids today. If something  presents itself to him that cuts across his principles he simple ignores it and continues on his chosen path. I'm not saying that he is puritanical....he was shook by adolescence as was every other child. I'm simply saying that he is the type of son that every parent hopes to raise....thanks for making us so proud Steve.
Every so often, the most primitive of shapes can turn into an object of beauty and complexity. Just check out my "Breakaway Box" and you'll understand.

People who own pets, particularly dogs, are 9 times more likely to be alive a year after a heart attack according to a recent study in Geneva. The contributing factor was determined to be the relationship itself rather than exercising the dog.
