To do the following "What's This?" project you must be able to get to Corel Photo Paint. To do this (with our set up) you click on the red C on the upper tool bar of Corel Draw 7. It will then open other options. You then click on photo paint. | ![]() |
Near the upper right of your Corel Photo Paint screen is an "Arrow with a Question mark". | ![]() |
You can left click on this and then go to one of your icons on Photo Paint and left click again. You will be given a rectangular box with words in it. These words tell you what that icon does. For today and tomorrow's project you are to sketch/draw the icon and then write the words for each icon on the left side of the screen. You are to turn this work in to me with your name on it by the end of the second class period.
This is your major tool bar that has the clone tool on it.
The tool bar on the left is approximately a one to two day project. For the next day you are to check out all the tools you can with the "What's This" tool and draw the icon and write what they are and what they do and turn them in by the end of the period the third day.
This is an alternative project for those that get finished before the end of the third day.
1. Find a true color apple and load it into Corel Photo Paint. (note the example below is the proper shape but not the true color - yours will be true color and will look differently when finished)
2. Find the tool that will gradient fill with an object fade and uses the current color and transpaency.
3. Use this tool to fade the apple (as in the example) from upper left to right.
4. Leave this on your screen for me to check. EXAMPLE BELOW
