KC and the Sunshine Band UK

There are several wonderful KC tribute and fan sites, he does seem to have very creative fans. So I needed to think of something different to do if I was going to set up a page about my fave band from the 70's. I also decided to give it the "teen idol" slant as part of a feature on teen idols in general. Plus a UK slant, with UK chart positions, tour dates, and Top of the Pops performances.

So take a trip down memory lane to the 1970s with me, and chuckle over the extracts from my diary, memories of searching magazines for articles and pictures, and remember what it was like when you saw your own teen idol in concert for the first time.

KC and the Sunshine Band are back on the road and still going strong today after a few years out of the limelight, and I hope the might come back to the UK some time. I better make sure my Boogie Shoes still fit. Might not be a good idea to try and do The Hustle these days as I did back in the 70's as I don't think my middle aged limbs would stand for it!
