Jacqueline Jonée is thrilled to be performing her new show "Je m'appelle Jacqueline (Ma vie c'est la vie)" at Don't Tell Mama during February and March of the new millennium.
"I've loved playing the piano since I was seven. Performing allows me to evoke the colorful characters I've encountered in the music world from New York concert stages and stuffy classical conservatories to jazz clubs and cabarets."
Ms. Jonée has performed in OUTMUSIC benefits at many venues including the Gay and Lesbian Community Center. She has performed in New York, New Jersey and Fire Island appearing in numerous benefit performances singing and playing the piano. Jacqueline received the 1997 Mikey Award for Best New Artist, was crowned Miss Cherries 1997 of Cherry Grove, Fire Island, and also won the title of Mrs. Fire Island 1997. She also won a 1999 Mikey Award for "Best Dressed". She is the reigning Queen of the New York City Gay Men's Chorus. She is a member of Actor's Equity, AFTRA and the Screen Actor'sGuild, as well as OUTMUSIC, MAC, the New York City Gay Men's Chorus and was recently awarded the title Countess of The Imperial Court of New York.
