When I first met John Nieman at Frans Bloem's Christmas party, I met an attractive young man who invited me to his show and surprised me by announcing that he does the performance in drag in the character of Jacqueline Jonée, a fictitious world famous concert pianist/drag diva.  She's a marvel!  The show is a marvel!  Très French.  With more costume changes, feathers and sequins and spangles?and more talent?than the Folies Bergères.  Set in Gay (in both senses of the word) Paree, the program's a fast-paced, dazzling whirlwind of piano virtuosity with wonderful songs in French and English and the winning personality of Mlle. Jonée.  Hard to describe in a few words, you simply have to see it.  And I strongly recommended that you do.  Backed brilliantly by Jason Tobias DiMatteo on bass and Mary Rodriguez on percussion, the show is directed by Brett Oberman?(and will continue its run on Tuesdays in the 7:00 p.m. time slot June 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th).
