July 7th, 1999: "Bonjour mesdames et messieurs.  Comment ca va?  Ca va bien? I hope so because the spring and summer have been merveilleux pour moi! Beginning with the New York City Gay Men's Chorus March concert, a truly entertaining evening.  The Imperial Court of New York was glittering from the balcony as they do so well.   Guest starring was the enchanting bundle of exciting talent, Kristin Chenoweth, and the ever hilarious, Harvey Fierstein, who together made an unlikely but perfectly adorable couple in "Love For Sale."..."

July 24th, 1999: "Bonjour mesdames et messieurs! Mon Dieu, the summer is just flying by.  Soon it will be the "season" once again in New York.  But there is much to do around town and on Fire Island in the summer.  And what a summer it has been so far.  Where did I leave you all?  Ah oui, wonderful things to go and see and hear.  Let's continue our little chat.  Just for a breather, one day, Barry Oliver and I enjoyed the Winterthur Museum in Delaware.  What a verdant, bucolic setting and just at the hight of the flowering season...."

September 30th, 1999: "It's hard to believe the summer is almost over, but then it has been a wonderful season and we have much to be grateful for. Happy New Year to all who celebrate Rosh Hashanah. I also hope you have an easy fast on Yom Kippur!  I have been away for several weeks as you already know, je suis certain. You just can't wait to read my next column, oui? Ah bon! There has been a lot happening especially out on Fire Island. Highlights of the summer include Jack Hayes' show, "Tonight We Raid Berlin, Irving That Is."..."

October 11th, 1999: "We are really into the fall season now! The Last Ball of the Century at the Ice Palace on Fire Island was a tremendous success. Mandy Ququa and Tom Fisher did a spectacular job! Congratulations.  My grand piano, now a rebuilt deluxe model is finally finished, enfin, and so is the summer. It is finished in beautiful pearled sand and sounds, well, grand. The bass is sonorous and the treble sings beautifully..."
