I know the stories.... Many people say that Corellians are the galaxy's best story-tellers, either because they have such good memories,or they travel so many places, or because they are often the ones that are part of the legendary stories of today. I say, it's because of all three. I am Corellian. I have traveled the stars in my own Corellian YT-1300, Corellian Bloodstripe. "From one end of the galaxy to the other," the infamose Han Solo said once, I believe. My name is Jade Goldeneyes. I am a good friend to the Solo and Skywalker families, and have known Han for decades. I was born on Corellia thirty-two years ago in Coronet. I became an Imperial when I was still a teen, which is where I first met Han. I left soon after he was court marshalled. Then I saw him often when I became a smuggler and pilot for hire. I joined the Rebel Alliance a year before the Battle of Endor and was actually on Solo's strike team, along with both Skywalkers. Three years after Jedi Master Luke Skywalker began his Jedi Academy, I was enrolled and became the first new Corellian Jedi Knight. I have seen much in my short thirty-two years, and I remember it all. I remember the wars, and the victories, the mournings, and the celebrations, the bad, and the good. It is my job to tell you everything. Everything my eyes have seen, all my ears have heard, all my feet have traveled. I must tell you of the heroes of yesterday, and the legends of today.... |
