Biography:
Raised by a slightly physically abusive father, Bud still followed in his father's footsteps...up to a point. His father had been an enlisted man and had actually made Master Chief despite conning the Navy on the side. Bud, although he originally enlisted as well, became a commissioned officer. He was assigned to the USS Seahawk as the Public Relations Officer.
When Bud decided to transfer to JAG, he met the new Public Relations Officer for the Seahawk, Harriet Simms, and it was love at first sight. Soon after Bud became a Lieutenant(J.G.), he completed his bar exam and became a full-fledged member of the JAG corps and was delighted when Harriet transferred to JAG Headquarters. He acted as an assistent to both Mac and Harm before graduating to the level of senior lawyer and becoming a full Lieutenant. And, as Admiral Chegwidden's last act as the Judge Advocate General, he was promoted to Lieutenant Commander--a rare honor for a disabled officer.
In order to not give away too many spoilers, I have not included much information from the time during the episodes.
