Biography:
Born to a father who abused her mother, Mac grew up unhappy. When her mother left her, she turned to drinking and was extremely wild during her teenage years. After a friend died in a car accident that she survived, her Uncle Matt took her into the caves in the desert to "dry her out". Once she was sober enough to realise the mess she'd begun to make of her life, she, at her Uncle Matt's suggestion, joined the Marines.
After going through boot camp and serving as an enlisted Marine for a little while, one of Mac's commanding officers put her up for Officer's Candidate School. Once she received her commission, she began to move up quickly through the ranks. Mac decided to study law and, after a while, became a JAG lawyer. She has taken assignments all over the world during her time as a Marine, including service in Okinawa and in a Bosnian war-zone.
When she became one of the senior lawyers at JAG Headquarters, she was paired with a Navy Lieutenant Commander, Harmon "Harm" Rabb, Jr.. Over the next several years, they have done everything from spying, to resigning their commissions, to becoming the temporary Judge Advocate General, and much, much more, as well as their usual duties prosecuting and defending huge amounts of crucial and exciting cases.
In order to not give away too many spoilers, I have not included much information from the time during the episodes.
