Edward Herrmann (Raymond Massey) Edward Hermann's career spans more than 30 years in the theater, in film and on television. His numerous appearances on Broadway include Mrs. Warren's Profession and The Philadelphia Story. He received Tony® nominations for both, as well as for Plenty, for which he also received the Theatre Guild Medal. His film credits include Nixon, The Purple Rose of Cairo, The Great Gatsby, Annie, Reds, Mrs. Soffel and The Paper Chase, among many others. Most recently, Herrmann appeared in the Disney film Double Take, and will soon be seen in The Cat's Meow, directed by Peter Bogdanovich and the independent feature Down. On television, he received an Emmy® in 1999 for his guest-starring role in The Practice. He has also appeared in Law & Order, Atomic Train and Vendetta, and received Emmy nominations for his work on St. Elsewhere, Concealed Enemies and Eleanor and Franklin: The White House Years.
