Sexism

FACTS ABOUT SEXISM -In 1777, a law passed taking away all of women?s voting rights -On August 27,  1920, the 19th amendment passed giving women the power to vote. -Women do 75% of the world?s work yet own only 10% of the world wealth.

WHO: Sexism is usually men against women, but sometimes it can be the other way around. Rarely people can also be sexist against themselves, thinking they can’t do things because of their own gender. WHERE: Sexism happens all over the world, as far as I can see it seems to be happening less and less in the United States. WHEN: Sexism has been happening since the beginning of time and not until the 1900s could women do things like vote or own property. WHY SEXISM IS A PROBLEM: Sexism is a problem because nobody should be put down because of their gender, or anything else for that matter. Sexism can keep people from doing something they love, like sports or a certain job. Some people in the world think they are better that others.
