My new project has started. A three wheel Pulse!

I found a Pulse body # 98 the frame was completely rusted out but glad I got the body!
I purchased a front prelude clip with
the Vtec motor/auto, a/c and heater.
Trikes are fun to drive!!
A few years ago I bought a wreck 1500 Goldwing. I  have a friend that was a MotorTrike kit dealer. I was able to get a MotorTrike kit and but together a Goldwing Trike.
I started really enjoying it so much that in 2003 and 2004 I put over 16000 miles on it each year.  I enjoyed trips to Americade, WingDing, and about every rally I could find.
The Pulse is a great design, enclosed or open and the feel of a sports car! The Autocycle Litestar Pulse Group is one of the most friendly, fun groups you can find!! It's about the people!!
I've always wanted to build an enclosed trike that would have a/c and heat. I came across the Pulse on the internet one day. Wow, what a great design, I wondered where could find one, where could I learn more about these machines.I found the www.autocycles.org website and was thrilled!! After joining the Pulse group and messages folks, I was invited to come to the next state over from me in Indiana and go for a ride. I was even invited to go to Texas for a ride. I thought, these people are the best! I went to Indiana and met some of the finest folks you could ever meet, Ray and Judy Johnson! They have Pulse # 347, possible the last Pulse ever built in 1990. It is beautiful and Judy took me for a ride. This is a beautiful machine that Judy drives just super. I never saw so many flashes going off from people taking pictures!  I took a trip to florida and met Bob Hichborn who was having molds made from his Litestar. Bob is a super guy, very  knowledgable and showed me the Pulse in pieces. I learned a lot from that trip and I thank Bob for spending the time showing the Pulse in details. Bob shares the same excitement as I of someday building a 3 wheeled Pulse with the two wheels in the back. I ended up going to the Winter Pulse meeting in chicago and met a lot of great folks! I liked what Ray told me about the Pulse group,
" It's all about the people ".
Ray is the host for the "Fly/in Cruise/In" which is a big event for the Pulse group coming up in sept.  www.flyincruisein.com.
Chicago's winter pulse meeting was great. Ken & Sylvia Weger are wonderful folks that put on a great winter event for the group! They opened up their beautiful home and shop to the group. I got to meet our Webmaster Steve & Linda Schmitt, Leo & Jan Doyle, many other fine folk. Finally I met a person I had talked to over the phone who is one of the most creative, smartest, talented people I will ever meet. You all know him as Ron Palmer. I think the world of Ron and I am privileged to have him as a friend now. He is the first person to make his Pulse lean inward in a turn by an actuator.. I can't wait to see his new Paint job on his machine in Marion.    We'll I continue to look for a pulse body, hopefully I will fine one in a barn somewhere, but I have started to build my Pulse Trike. I bought a Honda Prelude VTEC front clip. This clip has a/c and heat ect...all you do is add gas and start up the clip. The reason I decided on the VTEC engine is because it is bullit proof. The VTEC H22 is the block all the young kids want. I like the reliability. This motor allows 98 % of the weight of the motor to be in front of the axle making it a true mid engine. I will start building the frame real soon! Until then here are a few pictures!! Best Wishes and see you in Marion!!  Don Willi
