Disclaimer:  They belong to Paramount, but this is too eenie-weenie to matter to big lawyers, isn't it?  I'm not making money.

Note:  This is for Jane (skazki), who said in a post to ASCEML, "Does anyone have a copy of the regulation which specifies when officers in Star Fleet are entitled to Pon Farr pay? Is it paid at a standard rate, like a danger money bonus or something, to anyone who gets it? Or is it more for more senior officers?  'Cos it could be cheaper for Star Fleet to specify that Spock gets given Chekov in an emergency, rather than Kirk. And while no one is insisting that budgetary constraints mean all K/S writers *must* write this, I know some readers who'd be interested in reading it."  Sorry, Jane, I know a drabble leaves out all the good parts.  The spanking list belongs to Jungle Kitty, and a signed copy is on her site.  Much too good to give up.

"We talked about that--we've practically spent this bonus already.  You're kidding, Spock!"

"I do not 'kid.'  The Enterprise has a distressing tendency toward budgetary overruns, especially on personnel--"

"We're teaching the Security people to duck--"

"--and we simply cannot afford Captain's scale pon farr pay.  I am sorry, Jim.  I shall have to approach Chekov.  If you were not between yeomen--"

"Don't change the subject!"

"I believe infidelity is the subject.  Or, rather, over-budget penalties."

"Oh."

"Choose: pon farr pay or the spanking list."

"Go talk to Chekov."
