No putting up the Christmas Tree, No decorations, not for me. No making out a Christmas list, This year, I'm hiding from Christmas.
No stockings on my fireplace, No Christmas shopping, what a race ! No mistletoe to share a kiss, This year, I'm hiding from Christmas.
Please, don't try to change my mind, Talk about faith, I need to find. No, I really I must insist, This year, I'm hiding from Christmas.
I miss Jay's face, so full of wonder, When he'd see the tree with presents under. That smile, no one could resist, This year, I'm hiding from Christmas.
No Christmas carols to be sung, No catching snowflakes on his tongue. No candy, in his sticky fist, This year, I'm hiding from Christmas.
So, please just leave me with my fate, Don't push at me to celebrate. Just understand how much Jay's missed, And let me keep my own Christmas.
