LOS ANGELES (AP)--Every night, Craig Kilborn asks a guest to answer five questions on his CBS talk show.
To mark his fifth anniversary with "The Late Late Show," which he'll celebrate on the air Thursday, April 1 (12:37 a.m. EST), Kilborn asked himself one question: What are the top five moments from the last five years?
His answers:
1. Bill Murray on our first show. It took a lot of guts to put Bill Murray on the show, this was before "Lost in Translation" when nobody knew who he was. I discovered Bill Murray. There, I said it. I also discovered Dido, supermodel Petra Nemcova and the American music art form known as jazz.
2. An entire "Late Late Show" with Clint Eastwood. Nobody else will do it. I defy anyone to try and get Clint Eastwood to talk for an hour. He doesn't even do that in his movies.
3. The realization of a dream--a tryout with the Minnesota Timberwolves culminating with the Legendary Pass--and a visit to our show by Kevin Garnett, Sam Cassell and Latrell Sprewell. The only thing that came close was being a part of "Old School," especially the DVD, which has my best lines.
4. Cameron Diaz. She hasn't been on yet, but trust me, when she is, it's going to be great. It'll be bigger than our drug-free, fully-clothed Hilton sisters experiment. Or the accidental Bette Midler walk-on.
5. A week of shows from New Orleans. I love stunts. I have a few trump cards for the next five years: a "Permanent Gest Host," where David Gest will be on every night. And a "Night Court" reunion special.
I've said too much already. |
