We have five questions for CRAIG KILBORN, who announced last week that he's stepping down as host of CBS' Late, Late Show after five years: Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?  "I just go with my gut, and I felt I'd done all I could do," says the smart-alecky schmoozer, who was in contract talks with the network.  By quitting, Kilborn, whose frat-house humor first won over young male viewers on ESPN's SportsCenter, has relinquished any claim to the throne of his lead-in, David Letterman.  Kilborn says he will turn to writing and producing, and "I may go to Italy and put on some pounds."  Let's see: no show, love handles--we're pretty sure the babes are out of reach now, Craig.
