Yorlin Madera's Biography
Yorlin Madera made his professional acting debut in the role of Cristian Vega, a street-smart youth and talented artist. He had a rocky romance with girlfriend Jessica Buchanan, but the two teens remained devoted to one another.
Born in the Dominican Republic, Yorlin moved to the United States in 1983. Growing up, Yorlin was a fanatic of American television comedies, and credits shows like "Gimme a Break" and "Three's Company" for teaching him how to speak English.
Yorlin attended school in New York City at the LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts. During a spring drama festival, Yorlin was spotted by his future agent and immediately signed. One of his first professional jobs was dancing in a fashion show with Michael Jackson. Yorlin then went on to appear in a number of commercials, before joining the cast of "One Life to Live."
When not working, Yorlin hangs out with his close-knit circle of friends listening to jazz, bowling, playing pool and attending poetry readings. Yorlin claims that he would have pursued a career in baseball if he didn't succeed as an actor
