Lewis Byron Davenport was born on September 20, 1919 to Edwin Francis Davenport Jr. and Lillian Marie Moore Davenport in Austin, Texas. Lewis married Leah Mae Guthrie on January 17, 1945 in Oberlan Kansas. Unto this union four children were born: Robert Lewis Davenport, Diana Marie Davenport, Mauri Lee Davenport, and Linda Gayle Davenport. Lewis went to be with his Father God in heaven on September 9, 1985. There are now 5 grandsons and 4 granddaughters. Lewis was the most wonderful of all fathers, and is missed everyday by his family.
