Summary: Jean spent the night on Logan’s tent although nothing else happened between them. Sequel to My All.

The Morning After

 

For the first time in months Jean slept like a little child. Her nights have been plagued by nightmares and visions of terrible things to happen. Besides she constantly had vivid dreams of her making love to Logan and she felt guilty for having those erotic dreams.
When she woke up Logan was already dressed up preparing mentally for the day ahead.
-“Hey Logan, what time it is?”
-“It’s 6:30 am; how do you feel?
-“ ahh I feel so good, I slept the whole night for the first time in months. You know something, I felt safe sleeping so close to you. I…ehh… I want to thank you for not taking advantage of me last night.”
-“Look Jean, I told you I would never force you to do something you don’t want to do. You already know how I feel about you but I will accept whatever you decide to do.”
-“Awww, Logan…you are full of surprises…” she made silence and gave him a tender kiss on his lips.
-“Well Jean we have to meet Storm and the others on the Blackbird” he said.
Jean got out of the tent and Rogue saw her coming out. She was surprised and a little bit sad. She always had a crush on Logan. Rogue went where Storm was and told her what she saw…
-“Storm, I think Jean & Logan spent the night together” said Rogue
-“Yes, I know, I talked to her last night.”
-“What’s happening between them, Storm?”
-“Well Rogue, I really don’t know but it seems that Jean is falling in love with Logan although she, oh well, she tried not to cheat on Scott. But sometimes feelings are so strong that you have to follow them.”
-“Oh God, when Cyclops knows about that he will be very upset” said Rogue.
-“Well Rogue, we have to wait until all this is over, now go find Iceman & Pyro because we’re going to eat something before leaving for the Alkali Lake compound…”
Jean met Rogue when she was returning to the Blackbird but Rogue gave her a nasty look and went for Pyro & Iceman. Jean felt bad but tried to ignore Rogue’s attitude.
When Jean returned to the plane, Storm looked at her with a mischievous grin and said:
-“Well, well, well you had a good night, didn’t you?
-“Storm nothing happened between us. Logan stopped me before something could happen. He told me he doesn’t want me by an impulse. I just felt the need to sleep in his arms… In fact I felt so protected, like nothing could happen to me. Now I’m considering seriously put my engagement to Scott on hold, I feel so confused. I think this attraction for Logan is more than mere lust. For the first time in months I slept peacefully, without nightmares or visions.”
-“Jean, whatever you do is fine with me. I think Logan really loves you and after what you had told me I think you definitely has to break up with Cyclops. Don’t feel obligated to him, he has to understand that relationships change and sometimes other people come to our lives and make us see things in a different way. Ahh… By the way Rogue saw you coming out of Logan’s tent so by now Bobby & John must know about you spending the night with Logan.”
-“Oh my God, no wonder Rogue looked at me so mean. But right now we have to concentrate in this mission. I hope this is over so I can put some order into my life.“

Logan came inside the plane followed by Magneto & Mystique. Bobby, Pyro, Night Crawler & Rogue came after they put the tents back on the plane. Pyro looked at Jean & Logan and smiled devilishly but neither Jean nor Logan paid attention to him. Obviously Rogue told him about what she saw. Mystique & Magneto also look at each other and smiled too, probably Mystique told Magneto about her intentions and what she wanted to do. Soon after that everybody took their seats to begin the travel to the Alkali Lake compound to face Stryker.

Next... the break up with Cyclops and Jean & Logan finally getting together...
