The construction of Kala Bagh dam is not useful at all, instead it will
increase burden on the WAPDA consequently on Nation, but it will satisfy the
greed of Punjab, on other hand Sindh will suffer more.
Remind you; in regime of Benazir Bhutto, Pakistan had tried to sale its
surplus electricity to India who has still shortage of power, this was
failed due to unfriendly environment between two countries. However, still,
if it is deem necessary; Pakistan could have build windmill Power and/or
Solar energy plants. For windmill we got very long sea shore and northern
mountain areas while for solar energy; sun is shining all over Pakistan at
average of 11 hours in a day and 265 days of the year. But our planners who
are mostly working for big Brother are interesting in the projects which can
create problems for other but some how Punjab could flourish more and more.
We can also produce power simply using flow of water by installing turbines
at the inlet of the canals and down stream of the barrages. Also we have
millions of tones of coal in Sindh which is sure source of generating
electricity but, because it is in Sindh?.
When Mr. Musharaf was on visit of Hyderabad and he gave interview to KTN. He
insisted that the KB dam will be built on approval of Pakistani Nation. At
This point question could have been asked that Whole Sindhi nation is
against of so called KB dam, its construction should be cancelled but it is
in progress that means Sindhis are not part of Pakistani Nation??!!
On other hand if the rest of Pakistan is worried about the loss of water in
Arabian sea in flood season then two more barrages can be built; one between
Sukkur & Kotri while other at the down stream of the Kotri somewhere near to
the neck of the Sindh delta. By doing so Sind would have more canals and we
can control the minimum flow in the sea to control the salty water. However;
for instance if we; Sindhi allow them to built KB dam then who will ensure
us that Sindh will get its full quota of water. There are some examples
which have increased mistrust on Punjab. i.e. during last three years or so,
(as it was published time to time in sindhi news papers and some National
news papers) that during water shortage Sindh has suffered more than the
Punjab. As it is apparent that Punjab?s share in all benefits and power is
more than the total of rest of provinces then practically in conditions of
shortage and losses Punjab should share with same ratio as of benefits, but
it has not happen. It is proved that we can not trust Punjab anymore in
present unfair set-up and should be no more water reservoirs on Indus River
in NWFP or Upper Punjab.
My next Topic is Nationalism:
I don't know what definition of nationalism in UN charter is but I shall
define as per my own practical understanding in light of Sindh's situations.
As per Dictionary following is the meaning of captioned:
1. Love of country and willingness to sacrifice for it
2. The conviction that the culture and interests of your nation are superior
to those of any other nation.
In my opinion:
Love for the homeland and love for every Sindhi man & woman, Child and old,
Mullah and Sadhu, Muslim and Hindu, Poor and rich, Wadera and farmer etc.
Every minor or major issue of Sindh and Sindhis should be given priority #
1.
Sincerity & faithfulness with Sindh and Sindhi Nation.
Tolerance for every Sindhi.
Preparedness and readiness & eagerness to help every sindhi in every aspect.
No hate for Sindhi who works for other parties or group which is anti of
other group.
Give help hand to every needy sindhi don?t think about his/her relations or
party or group, think only that he/she is sindhi.
If any Sindhi is killed by forces fighting for rights of Sindh is hero of
the Nation every Sindhi got to praise him/her. One member of any Sindhi
group should not fight or kill other Sindhi who belongs to anti-group. If
you can afford help sindhis to get education, jobs, etc. We should create an
environment in which every Sindhi party and group should work together and
do something practical for Sindh and its people. On contrary, we Sindhis are
not fulfilling above definitions of Sindhi Nationalism. We are divided as we
were, we hate each other on party basis, cast basis, profession basis etc.
for example: Sayed is superior and Machi, kolhi are inferior while both are
Sindhi, Wadera is superior while Hari (Farmer) is inferior. Tarqi Pasands
hate Jaey Sind group, Paleejo group hates PPP etc. We got to forget these
differences, we got to help each other and we should respect every Sindhi.
We should create tolerance among ourselves. If I give some positive comments
against any of above party next day I will be killed. We got to listen
eachother. Our Nationalism is very popular in Pakistan but practically where
we are? One leader who preaches for the Sindhisim and ask followers to fight
and be killed but he himself get jobs for his relatives from the Tops of the
Pakistan. Look at the Punjabees, they are real nationalists, they work
together they help each other they are sincers with Punjab. Look at Pathans,
the Pathan driver always fill the gas of its vehicle from gas station which
belongs to pathan, while we sindhi don?t purchase even a kilo Sugur from
sindhi shopkeeper, also sindhi shopkeepers are asking high prices; looks
like they want be rich in overnight. (Check it out at Qasimabad bazaars and
Resham Galee and Saddar)
Dear Sindhis, What we should do? Please, take responsibility work for
Sindhis; help the needy, start from your neighbors and relatives and
friends. Respect each other. If due to any natural disaster every sindhi
should help his brother. Every sindhi Officer should help Sindhis in their
needs. Waderas should stop making slaves they should release sindhi farmers
and respect the Sindhi women. Above should be done at lower level, and on
the Parties level they should clear their differences and work together (It
will be better if they would have choose one and only one sincere leader)
and set goals for Sindhi Nation?s Freedom from fuddles and from Punjab.
Above is just a fading voice of a sincere and faithful Sindhi. If I look
around I feel sorrows and bad because we are running nowhere. I am
optimistic for the results as Muslim sindhi I shall pray for the union of
all Sindhis at one platform.
God Bless Sindh and Sindhi Nation and consequently Pakistan because We are
the one who voted 100% to Muslim League of Qaid-e-azam for Pakistan. As per
Arabian history in ancient times subcontinent was divided into two countries
Hind and Sindh (The sindh contained area at the both side of the river
Indus) that means Today,s Pakistan was actually known as Sindh. Clever
Punjab has simply ruled the sindh since 1952....
