The Untold History of the Blues Brothers...

Not many blues fans know this, but before the Blues Brothers became the widely known group they are today, there was a third member of the original band...

He was known only as Dad Blues - the mysterious third member of the band, which originally consisted of Joliet Jake Blues, Elwood Blues, and Dad Blues.

It is not known why D.B. is not mentioned in the credits or pictured on the current albums. Some say he left the group because the Nazis were after him; some believe he crossed the Illinois state border into Wisconsin to avoid law enforcement, and others say he ran off and got married. One can only speculate. D.B's true identity is still unknown.

We were fortunate enough to obtain exclusive photos of the group as they originally appeared...

There have been reported sightings of Dad Blues in the metropolitan area of Chicago, especially on North Dearborn Street in the vicinity of the House of Blues. Coincidence? I think not.
