Welcome to Lucy's Page!!
Lucy is our Basset Hound. She came home to live with us September 20th,2000.
Lucy's parents are Bumper and April, they had Lucy and seven other puppies July 31st, 2000. Lucy's sister, Millie, lives just two houses down from her, they get to play with each other every few days. And boy do they play! Of course, Lucy has her step sister, Meeka at home and Lucy looks up to Meeka as her Big Sissy and loves her dearly. Lucy sure loves to play with big sissy Meeka too.
Lucy was a little devil puppy and loved to chew on everything, esp. socks you were wearing, and your shoes, and your pants, and your shirt, just about everything! But that was just the puppy stage, now she is just crazy. Although if she is not getting your full attention, she will go and grab bed clips or any item of clothing she can find, and prance up to you with it. She just wants your attention, and your COMPLETE attention! She has the sweetest little temperment, always happy, even though she might look sad! She greets everyone and demands to be noticed!
She thinks she is a lap dog and sleeps on your lap while you watch TV. Her newest thing is to sleep around your neck or on your head when you are on the couch. She doubles as a pillow!
Meeka does a good job of putting up with Lucy, but she WILL snarl at Lucy if she gets too close for comfort during her resting time on the couch. So, I guess Meeka is still the boss.
Lucy only has a couple bad habits, barking when she gets excited and jumping up on people. But even with her LOUD barking (could that big deep bark come from a little innocent doggy?) everyone has to love our little Lucy Palousy!
