Mr Zeke is a 2000 Appaloosa gelding. He is my mom's horse (although I AM on the registration!) He has some great bloodlines! His sire is Impulsive Zipper (by Impulsions) and his dam is She's a Fancy Zippo (by Zippo Pine Bar). Both are Appaloosa National and World Champions in western pleasure. If you know horses, then you know his grandfathers too! Apparently he didn't enjoy showing, although he has great movement, so we bought him to trail ride. Kind of a waste of a great horse, but he is just a pet now, and loving it (and you never know, I may want to show again!) He and Gusto are brothers now, and Gus only beats up on him occasionally. Zeke is doing great with us, he has such a laid back personality. Sometimes we wonder about him, he is kind of 'incoherant'. We absolutely love his jog too. So slow and comfy. I think Zeke realizes he has a wonderful 'forever home'. If he didn't know how much he would be pampered, I am sure Gusto let him in on the news. Neither lack in the getting treats category! |
