I reached a point in life where I had to admit
to myself that the "perfect love" I had longed for
was just not going to happen...

So I concentrated on building
the very best life for myself that I could -
the kind of life where I was in charge
and had things just the way I wanted them

I found things to fill my time
and developed other dreams

And then, smack in the middle
of my organized life,YOU showed up, caught me off guard
and completely threw my heart for a loop!

You see, I could tell right away
that you weren't just some passing fancy
I could feel that you were
different...special...
not to be missed...
and was I right!

So now I'm doing my best
to open the doors I've closed
to make a special place
in my life and in my heart for you

But please be patient with me
