What's wrong with Jen? Why do you think she acts the way she does? "I think it has a lot to do with the way she was raised. Her mother wasn't ready to have children; she was a little selfish and maybe a little screwed up in the head [laughs]. Because of that, Jen got a bad impression of how someone's supposed to act, especially with men."

Does Jen realize she has a problem? "She knows. Jen's a good person; she wants to do the right thing. Right now, she wants to make Joe happy more than anything and have a normal relationship and feel satisfied, but she's not and doesn't know why. She's afraid she's going to screw things up because she always does."

Why do you think she's always looking for love? "She feels a void in her life -- in her heart. It may have to do with her parents' marriage ending. She doesn't want that to happen to her again, but at the same time, she doesn't know how to make a relationship work. Every time she thinks she's found the right person, it doesn't work out. Maybe she'll realize she has to work with herself instead of expecting someone to fill it."

What advice would you give to Jen? "To be honest with Joe. He counsels people for a living. He'd be able to help."
