In his life:The John Lennon story

A film based on the true story of a boy who dared to dream. An efficient and agreeable look at Lennon from ages 16 to 24 , "In his life: The John Lennon story showing events in his pre- and early Beatles life and is an excellent piece of drama . It was lighthearted and very informative".

It's the year 1956 when a young boy named John Lennon buy's his first guitar. A boy with dreams that would do anything to make them come true! This movie is about John Lennon before the Beatles. It describes how he meets Paul Mc Cartney and he makes their first band called The Quarry men, the 'Johnny and the Moondogs' band with George Harrison in, and the making of the name 'Beatles'. The movie concertrates in Lennon's life with his aunt, his first wife and the birth of his child ,Julian. It contains historical moments and dialogs such as the autition in Decca Records , Paul McCartney's 21st birthday and their staying in Paris at the hotel George V.

The actors who incarnate the Beatles did a very good job. Philip McQuillan (John Lennon) was chosen among 300 other men to play this character and he gave all his self to make him real , and he managed it , as John is shown to be complicated , brilliant but deeply flawed young man . Daniel McGowan (Paul McCartney) looks just like him while all the actors (Mark Rice Oxley- George Harrison and Kristian Ealey- Ringo Starr) did their own vocals in the songs for the movie. Filmed at all the actual locations where The Beatles started in Liverpool it's more accurate and revealing than just about anything done on the early years of the Fab four. The audience also can see the roots of many of his most famous songs including 'Julia' (about his mother), 'Strawberry fields' and others.

NBC's movie was more than they expected. The Beatles world charmed a lot of old fans and young people who never knew about them, like me.
