Have You Ever Felt the Rain?
Have you ever felt the rain
On the inside of your heart?
When overwhelming grief or sadness
Has pulled your world apart.
Your mind will reel in disbelief
Your chest grows tight with pain.
Hopeless black clouds quickly form
And your heart will feel the rain.
When beauty is taken from our lives
When family or friend must go,
We each feel so alone in a crowd
The rain in your heart will flow.
Do you have a friend in the storms of life?
Do you have an anchor on whom you call?
He watched over me when I knew Him not
His presence, now stronger, when my tears fall.
You can call out to Jesus in any hour
His mercy, love and grace will ease your pain.
Your never alone in life’s worse storms,
He loves you deeply – The Maker of the Rain.

Wrote August 7th 2003. As I talked to my friend and neighbour of 27 years, Karole Hay, fighting an extremely painful battle with cancer I thought we all smile on the outside but our hearts are crying. I took my two beagles for a long walk as I often do and in talking to God, He gave me these words and it was very strong I was to send them to the church. ( I don’t know why) My hope is that someone somewhere can draw comfort from the words. May God richly bless you as you read.
