The Inner Filling!

The silence of the earths carpet
Broken only by the resounding crunch
Of dry leaves swept about like waves.
My two beagles search keenly as though
It was a new and exciting adventure
Rather then our daily walk.
The spring soil has a pungent smell.
Green leaves wave briskly as the
Breeze stirs granting the sunshine
To peek through the lush foliage.
Tiny flowers peek out shyly, proudly
Showing off a burst of brilliant color.
I breathe deeply, eyes closed allowing
Warm rays of the sun on my body
Healing, soothing, enticing me back.
The frenzy pace of life slows. Gently
I drink deeply, savouring, enjoying.
Peace fills my very being in a most
Refreshing, renewing strength that says
Thank you Lord -- Now I can go on.
