There are different degrees of belief as to how and why gemstones and crystals work in helping a person. Of course, the entities in The Forest of Light always use natural remedies from nature and from the earth. Humans, unfortunately have become less attuned with the energy vibrations that all things freely give. Some are, however, highly sensitive and receptive to the properties of individual stones and some can actually feel vibration and/or heat from them. We can only tell you about what has been documented and what we have discovered ourselves. It will be up to you, personally, as to whether certain stones work for you and whether you choose to belief it or not. Nothing is ever guaranteed in life, but believing does open one up to being more receptive! We are not recommending that one uses crystals, gems and stones instead of conventional medicine, but with it.

Many use gemstones and crystals as an alternative form of healing their body, mind and spirit. Stones have been known to actually help one become more "balanced", and feel better. It has already been scientifically proved and it can be measured, that gemstones, crystals, and rocks have certain vibrational properties that are emitted into the atmosphere. It is said that if you place a stone that is high in vibrational rates, it can actually change the vibrational rate in different areas of your body. There are 7 energy centers in everyone's body. These are actually 7 endocrine glands. Some call these centers Chakras. It is believed that when you place certain stones near or on any or all of these 7 areas, it can moderately or greatly cause change within your body.

There are a variety of ways that you can get different stones. They are all out there, free, if you are willing to look. They will not be polished, but they are just as, if not more effective than the fancy and expensive ones that have been smoothed and polished. Many choose high quality stones and beads to use. Many wear them on their wrists or around their neck. It is believed that gemstone beads are more effective if strung on a silk string. It is also advisable to get stones that have not been dyed, irradiated, and have very few cracks. Some feel that metal, especially gold, can inhibit the energy in some stones. Some feel that if the metal actually surrounds a gemstone, the energy is usually reduced, somewhat, if not completely! Many believe that gold has strong properties by itself, and weakens whatever it surrounds. Silver, on the otherhand, may actually work as a conductor to further enhance each individual stone's properites. It also reflects more light, thus showing the stone and its beauty, better!

With each stone explanation, we have tried to provide important information for you. This information includes the colors that these stones may be, and the stone's hardness, according to the Moh scale, which measures a stone from 1 to 10, 10 being the hardest. The origin of its name will also be shared with you, if we know it. We will tell you, if we know, what energy center(s) it has been known to help. Also shared is what we have discovered or have read or heard, in regard to what each stone may affect and help. And last,we will inform you, if we know, where these stones can be found.

The color of the stone seems to hold a good deal of importance in determining how it will help an individual and which "center" may be affected. We will provide this information as we have found it, below. You may use the illustrations at the top of the page for reference.


COLOR AND CENTER: 1st-RED
LOCATION: sex organs, rectum
POSSIBLE AFFECTS: improve energy, spontaneity, leadership, independence, helps manifestation on earth plane, promotes alertness, helps create "pioneer spirit".

COLOR AND CENTER: 2nd - ORANGE
LOCATION: pelvis/spleen
POSSIBLE AFFECTS: promotes confidence, courage, assertiveness, intuition, warmth, and ambition.

COLOR AND CENTER: 3rd-YELLOW
LOCATION: stomach-solar plexus
POSSIBLE AFFECTS: enhances intelligence, promotes clarity of mind, organization, self-discipline, logic, efficiency, bravery.

COLOR AND CENTER: 4th - GREEN
LOCATION: heart center
POSSIBLE AFFECTS: helps one become more generous and sharing, compassionate, nurturing secure. Helps promote spiritual growth, self-respect and love, possibly helps banish jealousy, possessiveness, emotional and financial insecurity.

COLOR AND CENTER: 5th - BLUE
LOCATION: throat
POSSIBLE AFFECTS: may help promote patience, peace and serenity, devotion, loyality, ability to verbalize, and may help one become more truthful and idealistic. It may also help one be less conservative, less traditional, and less depressed. It is said to help some feel less isolated.

COLOR AND CENTER: 6th - PURPLE
LOCATION: third eye (above nose, between brows)
POSSIBLE AFFECTS: possibly can help one become more intuitive, perceptive, telepathic, optimistic, meditative. One may become less superstitious, less spaced out and more conscious.

COLOR AND CENTER: 7th - WHITE/CLEAR
LOCATION: crown (top of head)
POSSIBLE AFFECTS: may possibly make one more creative, mystical, charming, and more of a humanitarian. Diminishes the need to be idolized, arrogant or conceited. May make one more receptive to enlightenment.
