D 8:20. The building of the Altar.
  C 8:21-9:17. The Earth replenished.
 B 9:18-27. Noah's family.
A 9:28,29. Noah after the Flood.

2448 B.C.

9:  THESE are THE FAMILY HISTORIES OF NOAH: Noah was a just man and perfect (i.e. in his pedigree. They did not mix with the fallen angels. Remeber Christ had no blemish) in his generations (i.e. with his contemporaries), and Noah walked habitually with God (Elohim). (see 5:22,24)

10:  And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.    (see 9:18; and 1 Chron. 1:4. See note on 5:32)

11:  And the earth was corrupt (destroyed by being debased) before God (Elohim), and the earth was filled with violence. (Satan almost succeeded)
12:  And God (Elohim) looked upon the earth, and behold (Fig. of Speech, Asterismos. Employing some word which directs special attention to some particular point or subject), it was corrupt; for all flesh (including the 6th day creation) had corrupted his way upon the earth. (Noah's family only exception)
13:  And God (Elohim) (God the Creator in connection with the two beasts for preservation. See 7:1) said to Noah, "The end of all flesh is come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with (=from. 7th trump) the earth.

14:  Make yourself an ark (a floating building) of gopher wood; nests you shall make in the ark, and shall pitch (=coat it. Cp. Rev.12 flood of lies) inside and outside with resin,
15:  And this is the fashion which you shall make it thereof; the length of the ark shall be 300 hundred cubits (A cubit is the measurement from the fingertips to the elbow of the king ruling at any one time. from 18" to 25". The sacred cubit was probably 25 inches. I have used the average = 21". Therefore 300 cubits = 525'. these measurement would make the ark about the size of a WWI battleship.), the breadth of it forty cubits (=70'), and the height of it thirty cubits (=52 1/2').
16:  And a window shall you make to the ark, and in a cubit shall you finish it above; and the door of the ark shall you set in the side thereof: with lower, second, and third stories shall you make it. (spiritually often 3 levels of teaching in God's Word)
17:  And behold, I, even, I, do bring the Deluge of waters upon the earth, to destroy every kind of being, wherein is the spirit of life from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall cease to breath (or expire).
18:  But with you will I establish My covenant and you shall come to the ark, you, and your sons, and your wife, and your sons' wives with you. (8 souls with perfect genes. All Adamic)
19:  And of every living thing of flesh (this includes all the races, including Kenites = the sons of Cain), two of every sort (for preservation of species) shall you bring into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female.
20:  Of fowls after their kind, and of every creeping thing of the ground after his kind, two of every sort, shall come to you, to keep them alive.
21:  And take to yourself of all the food that is eaten, and you shall gather it to yourself; and it shall be for food for you, and for them". (God always plans ahead)
22:  Thus, in faith, did Noah; according to all that God (Elohim) commanded him, so he did. (This will give you blessings)

7)

1:  And the Lord (Yahaveh) (Yahaveh in His covenant-relation with Noah, and in connection with the seven clean beasts for sacrifice. See 6:13) said to Noah, "Come you and all your household into the ark; for you I have seen righteous before this generation. (Noah's contemporaries)
2:  Of clean beast (for sacrifice) you shall take to you by sevens, the male and his female.
3:  Of the fowls of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of the earth.
4:  For yet seven days (=the number of spiritual perfection, all the Flood dates are Sabbaths except one 8:5.), and I will cause it to rain upon the earth 40 days (=the number of testing, probation), and 40 nights; and every living substance that I have made will I wipe out from off the face of the ground."

2348 B.C.

5:  And Noah did according to all that the Lord (Yahaveh) commanded him.
6:  And Noah was 600 years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7:  And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8:  Of clean beast, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creeps upon the earth,
9:  There went in two and two to Noah into the ark, the male and the female, according as God Elohim had commanded Noah.
10:  And it came to pass after 7 days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

April 26-27th.

11:  In the 600th year of Noah's life in the second month, the seventh day (April 26-27th) were all the foundations of the great waters of the abyss broken up, and of the floodgates of heaven were opened.
12:  And the rain was upon the earth 40 days and 40 nights.
13:  In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Naoh, and Noah's wife and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark.
14:  They and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every kind.
15:  And thy went to Noah into the ark, two by two of all flesh (see 6:19), wherein is the spirit of life.
16:  And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh as God (Elohim) (=God the Creator) had commanded him: and the Lord (Yahaveh) (=Lord, Noah's Covenant-God) shut him in.
17:  And the flood was 40 days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift above the earth.
18:  And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
19:  And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth (just as the flood of Satan's lies in the end times); and all the high hills, that were under whole heaven, were covered.
20:  Fifteen cubits upward (31'+) did waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.
21:  And all the flesh ceased to breath that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth, and every humankind; ("Ands" solemnly emphasising the complete extinction of life. Many other examples in the narrative to emph. its complete details. Heaps of animals and birds found together, mostly on hills. Bones not gnawed or exposed to weather. There is also a break-and a fresh beginning-in Egyptian monuments.)
22:  All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit, of all that was in the dry land ceased to breath.
23:  And every standing thing was wiped out which was upon the face of the ground, both humankind, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of heaven; and they were wiped out from the earth: and Noah and the rest of the eight souls were saved by water.
24:  And the waters prevailed upon the earth 150 days.

8)

1:  And God (Elohim) remembered (Fig. of Speech) Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God (Elohim) made a spirit to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged (lessened):
 2:  The fountains also of the deep and the flood gates of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;
3:  And the waters returned from of the earth continually; and after the end of 150 days the waters were abated.

Sept. 23-24th

4:  And the ark rested (Saturday, the Sabbath day, see 7:4) in the seventh month, upon the mountains of Ararat (=high holy ground).

December 24-25th

5:  And the water decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.

February 1-2nd, 2347 B.C.

6:  And it came to pass after 40 days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:
7:  And he sent forth a raven (an unclean bird), which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.
 8:  Also he sent forth a dove (a clean bird) from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;
9:  But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned to him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth; then he put forth his hand and too her, and pulled her in to him into the ark.

February 8-9th

 10:  And he stayed yet another seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;
11:  And the dove came in to him in the evening; and lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf (newley sprouted) plucked off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.

February 16-17th

12:  And he stayed yet another 7 days; and sent forth the dove; which didn't return again to him any more.

March 21-22nd

13:  And it came to pass in the 601st year of Noah's life, in the first month, the first day of the month (6 such important dates in the Bible, here, Ex.40:2, 2 Chron.29:17, Ezra 7:9; 10:17, Ezek.45:18), the waters were dried up from off the earth; and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.

April 16-17th

14:  And in the second month, on the 27th day of the month (completing one solar year plus 10 days. See 7:11), was the earth dried.
15:  And God (Elohim) spoke to Noah, saying,
16:  "Go forth from the ark, you and your wife, and your sons, and your sons' wives with you. (Always wait for God's leading)
17:  Bring forth with you every living thing that is with you, of all flesh (2nd witness to 6:10. Flesh gets a brand new start. Watch how quick someone will mess up), both of the fowl, and of the cattle, and of every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth, that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitfulll and multiply upon the earth."
18:  And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him:
19:  Every beast, every creeping thing, every fowl, whatever creeps upon the earth, after their kinds (God always expects kind ater kind. He does not like hybrids. It causes pollution. It is not necessarily a sin against God, it is a sin against flesh), went forth out of the ark.
20:  And Noah built an altar to the Lord Yahaveh (first one mentioned in Scripture): and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

(Double Intoversion).
C F 8:21,22. God's covenant with the earth.
   G a 9:1. Fruitfulness committed to man.
b 9:2. Power committed to man.
c 9:3. Change in Ordinance (nourishment).
   G   c 9:4,5. Change in ordinance (punishment).
b 9:6. Power committed to man.
a 9:7. Fruitfulness committed to man.
  F 9:8-17. God's covenant with Naoh.

21:  And the Lord (Yahaveh) smelled a sweet savour (=rest, acquiescence); and the Lord (Yahaveh) said in His heart (Fig. of Speech, condenscension), "I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; although the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth (the flesh will always argue with the inner man); neither will I again smite any more every living thing as I have done. (i.e. not with water. See 9:11-17 See Isa.54:9,10. )
22:  While the earth remains (The Lord's covenant with Noah was unconditional in connection with the earth), seedtime, and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease." (Eternal. No nuclear winter or hot house [global warming]. He will intercede!)

9)

1:  And God (Elohim) blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, "Be fruitfull and multiply, and fill the earth. (This is a commandment)

2:  And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every living thing on the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moves upon the ground, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. (Power over them using knowledge and wisdom)

3:  Every thing that lives shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
4:  But flesh with the soul thereof, which is the blood thereof (This is the essence and foundation of the doctrine of substitution and atonement = "life for life" "the wages of sin is death", and "without sheddng of blood [and thus giving up the life] is no remission"), shall you not eat. (Spiritual & health Laws)

5:  And surely your blood, that is your lives, will I require; at the hand of every soul will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's broher will I require the soul of man.

6:  Whosoever sheds man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed (No if, ands, or buts. Judicial Order. He inserted new Laws to try to keep mankind straight. For the Laws before Sinai see 15:3.): for in the image of 'elohim made He man. (see note on 1:27 & 3:7.)

7:  And you, be you all fruitfull, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein."

8:  And God (Elohim) spoke to Noah, and to his sons with him saying,
9:  "And I, behold, I establish My covenant with you, and with your seed after you; (Eternal covenant)
10:  And every living soul that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, of every living thing of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
11:  And I will establish My coveant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by waters of a flood; neither shall there be any more a flood to destroy the earth."
12:  And God (Elohim) said, "This is the token (or sign) of the covenant which I make between Me and you and every living soul that is with you, for perpetual generations (=for ever, eternity. He will never take your rest from you as long as you TRY to absorb His word):
13:  I do grant My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between Me and the earth.
14:  And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, and when the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
15:  And I will remember (Fig. of Speech) My covenant which is between Me and you and every living soul of all flesh; and the waters shall be no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. (Don't forget Satan is super-natural and can bring rain IF God allows it [for correction]. But He will intercede to the point were Satan would try to destroy all flesh. God will protect His elect.)
16:  And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between Elohim and every living soul of all flesh that is upon the earth."
17:  And Elohim said to Noah, "This is the token of the covenant, which I have establshed between Me and all flesh that is upon the earth."

18:  And the son's of Noah, that went forth from the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan. (Canaan hasn't been born yet. Why is he inserted here? See v.22.)
19:  These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread. (with Adamite people, and also the races of the six day that made it through the flood. See 7:15. Are not all the races of flesh?)
20:  And Noah was a man of the ground and he planted a vineyard: (giving himself to tillage)
21:  And he drank of the wine (fermented), and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
22:  And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father (Hebrew Idiom that means slept with his mother, his father's wife. See Lev.18:8 & 20:11. This is NOT how the black race got started, they were created on the 6th day of creation [see 1:27]. God does things naturally. Incest in same race cannot create a new race. God will not punish a race of people entirely. Traditions of men make void the Word of God. Take God's Word and make the traditions of men void, to help them and heal them. Always respect God's children with dignity.), and told his two brothers outside.
23:  And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father (= their mother); and their faces were backward, and they didn't see their fathers nakedness (=their mother).
24:  And Noah awoke from his wine (means very much awake, awake to wisdom), and he knew what his younger son (younger than Japheth, not Shem) had done to him.
25:  And he said, "Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be to his brethren." (Noah said this not God. See v.22)
26:  And he said, "Blessed be the LORD God (Yahaveh Elohim) of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant."
27:  God (Elohim) shall enlarge Japheth (fulfilled in Western nations), and he shall dwell in tents of Shem (as in a Tabernacle. Heb. 'ohel. Probably plural of majesty, the Great Tent or Tabernacle of Shem, who thus would be the "Priest of the most High God". See 14:18. ); and Canaan shall be his servant."
28:  And Noah lived after the flood 350 years.

1998 B.C.

29:  And all the days of Noah were 950 years: and he died.

10:1-11:9. The Generations Of The Sons Of Noah.

(Division)
A¹ 10:1-32. The Nations divided in the Earth.
A² 11:1-9. The Nations scattered abroad on the Earth.

Chapters 10 & 11. Figure of Speech, Hysterologia, by which the dispersion of the nations (ch.10) is put before the cause of it (ch.11).

10:1-32. Nations Divided.

(Introversion).
A¹ B 1-. Shem.
    C -1-. Ham.
     D -1. Japheth.
D 2-5. The sons of Japheth.
C 6-20. The sons of Ham.
B 21-32. The sons of Shem.

10)

1:  Now these are THE GENERATIONS OF THE SONS OF NOAH, Shem (=name), Ham (=heat, black [as in evil, not color]), and Japheth (=enlargement); and to them were sons born after the flood.

2:  The sons of Japeth; Gomer (=perfect, proginator of the Celts), and Magog (=region of Gog [unknown dirivitive, of some northern nation. Associated with Gomer in Ezek.38:2,6.), and Madai (=middle land), and Javan (=clay), and Tubal (=the Tabali), and Meshech (=drawing out), and Tiras (=desire).
3:  And the sons of Gomer; Askenas (=spreading fire), and Riphath (=spoken), and Togarmah (=probably an ancient name for Armenia).
4:  And the sons of Javan; Elishah (=Elohim is salvation), and Tarshish (=established), and Kittim (=bruisers), and Dodanim (=leaders).
5:  By these were the coastlands of the Gentiles divided by these were the sons of Japheth in their lands; and every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.

6:  And the sons of Ham, Cush (=black), and Mizraim (=red soil), and Phut (=a bow), and Canaan (=low, flat).
7:  And the sons of Cush; Seba (of foreign origin ?), and Havilah (=circle), and Sabtah (=striking), and Raamah (=horses mane), and Sabtechah (=striking): and the sons of Ramaah; Sheba (=seven, or an oath), and Dedan (=low country).

about 2185 B.C.

8:  And Cush begat Nimrod (=to rebel, "we will rebel", or "come let us rebel"): he began to be a hero in the earth.
9:  He was a mighty hunter before the Lord (Yahaveh): wherefore it is said, "Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter in defiance of the Lord (Yahaveh)." (A later proverb of Semitic origin, as Yahaveh was not known in Babylon.)

Nimrod. Gen. 10:8,9. 1 Chron. 1:10.

Josephus (Antiquities Jud. i. c. 4. 2) says: "Nimrod persuaded mankind not to ascribe their happiness to God, but to think that his own excellency was the source of it. And he soon changed things into a tryant, thinking there was no other way to wean men from the fear (reverence) of God, than by making them rely upon his power."
The Targum of Jonathan says: "From the foundations of the world none was ever found like Nimrod, powerful in hunting, and in rebellions against the Lord."
The Jerusalem Targum says: "He was powerful in hunting and in wickedness before the Lord, for he was a hunter of the sons of men, and he said to them, 'Depart from the judgement of the Lord, and adhere to the judgement of Nimrod!' Therefore it is said: 'As Nimrod is the strong one, strong in hunting and in wickedness before the Lord.' "
The Chaldee paraphrases of 1 Chron.1:10 says: "Cush begat Nimrod, who began to prevail in wickedness, for he shed innocent blood, and rebelled against Yehovah."
Nimrod was the founder of Babylon (Translated instead of trasliterated means "confusion"), which partook of his character as being the great antagonist of God's Truth and God's People.
We cannot fail to see, in Nimrod, Satan's first attempt to raise up a human universal ruler of men. There have been many subsequent attempts, such as Nebuchadnezzar, Alexander, Napolean, Hitler, and others. He will finally succeed in the person of the Antichrist (which means in the stead of Christ. This is the role he has been wanting to play since his creation. This will be Satan himself, not some man born of woman. He is a Cherubim, he is super-natural, and he does not need a flesh body! BEWARE of the smoke and mirrors he will use.)

10:  And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel (=the gate of god [notice small "g"]), and Erech (=length), and Accad (=to strengthen, a fortress), and Calneh (=fortress of Anu, place in the Assyrian Empire), in the land of Shinar (=country of two rivers, Babylonia, and is to be distinquished from Assyria).
11:  Out of that land he (i.e. Nimrod) went forth into Asshur (=black. He invaded it), and built Ninevah (=abode of Ninus), and the city boulevards, and Calah (=old, age, completion).
12:  And Resen (=bridle) between Ninevah (the competitor of Babylon as the capital of Assyria) and Calah: the same is a great city.
13:  And Mizraim (=Egypt, became the name of Egypt) begat Ludim (=the Lydians) and Anamim (?), and Lehabim (=fiery, flaming), and Naphtuhim (=border-people),
14:  And Pathrusim (=region of the south), and Casluhim (=fortified, out of whom came Philistim, hence the name Palestine), and Caphtorim (=a crown).
15:  And Canaan begat Sidon (=Zidon=fishery, oldest Canaanite city) his firstborn, and Heth (=terror, the Hittites),
16:  And the Jebusite (=threshingfloor, the founders of Jebus; afterwards Jerusalem), and the Amorite (=dwellers on the sumits, mountaineers), and the Girgasite (=dwelling on the clayey soil).
17:  And the Hivite (=villagers), and the Arkite (=a tush, also from Arka), and the Simite (=the northern part of Lebanon),
18:  And the Arvadite (=wandering), and the Zemarite (?), and the Hamathite (=hot springs): and afterward were the families of the Canaanite spread abroad.
19:  And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as you come to Gerar (=a lodging place), to Gaza (=the fortified, the strong); as you go to Sodom (=burning) and Gomorrah (=submertion), and Admah (=earthly, fortress), and Zeboim (=gazelles), even to Lasha (=fissure).
20:  These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.

21:  To Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber (where "Hebrew" comes from), the brother of Japheth the elder, even to hmwere children born.
22:  The children of Shem; Elam (=eternity, the mountainous district east of Babylon), and Asshur (=prosper, successfull), and Arphaxed (=stronghold of the Chaldees), and Lud (=strife), and Aram (=high).
23:  And the children of Aram; Uz (=wooded, the country of the Sabeans and Chaldeans and Teman near Petra), and Hul (=circle), and Gether (=fear), and Mash (=drawn out).
24:  And Arphaxed begat Salah (=a sprout), and Salah begat Eber (where the name Hebrew come from = beyond = the people coming from beyond the "Flood", i.e. the Euphrates, to Canaan).
25:  And to Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg (=division.); for in the days was the earth divided in judgement (God's division included Zion. Man's disruption included Babylon); and his brother's name was Joktan (=small).("The name of one Peleg was because in his days the earth was divided". Gen.10:25. 1 Chron.1:19. In both places the word is palag = to divide or cleave. Supposition: Hitherto the earth had been one and undivided and apparently surrounded by waters [Gen.1:9,10]. In the day of the 15th from Adam the earth was "divided", cloven, broken up into its present condition of Continents and islands, and intersected in every direction by the "Seas". It is clear that these verses contain no reference to the event refered to in Deut.32:8 because the word there is nahal which is used solely of "inheritance". The word from which Peleg derives his name, points to a violent disruption of the earth itself, a cataclysemic cleaving or divding of the earth [Heb.the dry] into its present scattered condition. This short "note" in Gen.10:25 is pregnant with meaning and probably contains the key to many ethographical problems)
26:  And Joktan begat Almodad (=measure), and Sheleph (=a drawing forth), and Hazermaveth (=court of death), and Jerah (=the moon),
27:  And Hadoran (=noble honor), and Uzal (=seperate), and Diklah (=palm grove),
28:  And Obal (=stipped bare), and Abimael (=the father of Mael), and Sheba (=seven, or an oath),
29:  And Ophir (=abundance), and Havilah (=circle), and Jobal (=a desert): all these were sons of Joktan.
30:  And their dwellings were from Mesha (=freedom), as you go to Sephar (=a numbering) a mount of the east.
31:  These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.
32:  These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: andby these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.

         F 5. The Tower. God's inspection.
    E  a 6,7. Unity.

11)

1:  And the whole people of the earth was of one language, and of one speech. (The chapter begins with man's attempt to unify mankind, and ends with God's new provision to unify all in blessing with Abraham's Seed.)

2:  And it came to pass, as they journeyed eastward, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar (=Babylon); and they dwelt there.

3:  And they said one to another (Sin with their tongue punished in the same manner), "Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly." (Burning them in fire, not waiting for the Sun). And they made brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar.(=bitumen, so tenacious today that detachment almost imposible, compare slime of Babel with the jewels of Zion)
4:  And they said, "Go to, let us build a city and a tower, whose top is with the heavens (i.e. with the Zodiac depicted on it); and let us make a name (Manifesting independence of God (Elohim). Nimrod being the rebel leader), lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth."

5:  And the Lord (Yahaveh) came down (Fig. of Speech, Condenscension) to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

6:  And God (Yahaveh) said, "Behold, the people are one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
7:  Go to, let Us go down (this is always in judgement. Here in contrast to man's "Go to, let us go up"), and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech."

(The result of which was the conversion of the Ethiopian, of Ham. Saul, of Shem, Cornelius of Japheth. Tongues confounded in judgement. Given in Grace. United in glory.)
