     B  -8-11. The utterances of the zoa and the elders. Theme:creation.
    A  5:1-7. The throne and the book: the Lion and the Lamb
     B  8-14. The new song of the zoa and the elders. Other heavenly utterances.Theme: redemption.

4)

 1: After this I looked, and behold, a door was opened (i.e already opened) in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me, which said, “Come up to this place, and I will show you things which must be hereafter.” (John only taken to the presence of God in heaven. NO "rapture" of the church)
 2: And immediately I came to be in the Spirit (i.e. in or by the power of the Spirit): and behold, a throne was set in heaven, and One sitting on the throne.
 3: And He That sat was to look upon and a like a jasper and a sardine stone (First and last stones in breastplate) and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like to an emerald.
 4: And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders (i.e. probably the 12 Patriarchs and the 12 Apostles) sitting, clothed in white clothing; and they had on there heads crowns of gold.
 5: And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
 6: And before the throne there was a sea of glass (=purity) like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes before and behind (4 creatures = the four camps of the tribes of Israel that surround the Tabernacle. see Num. Chapter 2:3,10,18,25. We are creatures are we not?).
 7: And the first living creature was like a lion (=Judah), and the second living creature like a calf (=Dan), and the third living creature had a face as a man (=Rueben), and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle (=Ephraim).
 8: And the four living creatures had each of them six wings about him (compare with our space-craft today, they have wings); and they were full of eyes within (ever see people in an airplane): and they rest not day and night, saying,

“Holy, holy, holy (God's holiness proclaimed before judgment), LORD God Almighty, Which was, and is, and is to come.”
 9: And when the living creatures shall give glory and honor and thanks to Him The One sitting on the throne, Who lives for ever and ever,
 10: The four and twenty elders shall fall down before Him The One sitting on the throne, and worship Him That lives for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
 11: “You are worthy, O LORD, to receive the glory and the honor and the power: for You have created all things, and for Your pleasure they are and were created.” (If anyone asks you why God created us, here is your answer. Have you pleased Him lately? Tell Him you love Him today)

5)

 1: And I saw upon the right hand of Him The One sitting on the throne a book written within and on the back, having been sealed with seven seals.
 2: And I saw a mighty angel (=authority) proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?”
 3: And no one in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon (nobody in the flesh, nobody perfect).
 4: And I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
 5: And one of the elders said to me, “Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed (i.e. at Calvary) to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.”
 6: And I beheld, and lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as having been slain, having seven horns (= a symbol indicating His power) and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God (see v.12) sent forth into all the earth.
 7: And He came and took the book out of the right hand of Him The One sitting upon the throne.
 8: And when He took the book, the four living creatures and the four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of the harps, and golden vials full of incense, which are (i.e. symbolize) the prayers of the saints.
 9: And they sang a new song (see 14:3), saying, “You are worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation (=every race and ethnicity);
 10: And have made us for our God a kingdom and priests (i.e. a priestly kingdom), and they shall reign on the earth.” (see 20:6.)
 11: And I beheld, and I heard a voice of many angels round about the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them were ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands (=myriads of myriads. Hebraism for countless numbers);
 12: Saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb That was slain to receive the power, and the riches, and the wisdom, and the strength, and the honor, and the glory, and the blessing.” (=the seven Spirits of the Lord)
 13: And every created thing which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as were in the sea, and all that are in them, head I saying, “The blessing, and the honor, and the glory, and the power be to Him That sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb for ever and ever.” (the fourfold ascription by the whole creation)
 14: And the four living creatures said, “Amen.” And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshiped the Living One for ever and ever.

6)

(The opening of all of God's Word. The Seals are not in the Chronological order of events, but are in the order of understanding.)

 1: And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder (= powerful), one of the four living creatures saying, “Come and see.”
 2: And I saw, and behold, a white horse: and he (=the false Christ=Satan) that sat on him had a bow (Gr. toxon = made out of cheap fabric); and a crown was given to him: and he went forth conquering, and in order that he may conquer.

 3: And when He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come and see.” (these are given so you won't be deceived)
 4: And there went out another horse (horses symbolic of power) that was red (symbolic of war): and it was given to him that sat thereon to take the peace from the earth, and in order that they should kill one another: and there was given to him a great sword. (cp. Gen.25-27)
 5: And when He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come, and see.” And I beheld, and lo, a black horse; and he that sat on him had a balance in his hand (Economic justice?, commercialism)
 6: And I heard a voice as it were in the midst of the four living creatures say, “A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny (Bread by weight means a time of scarcity, time of famine, this is a days wage); and hurt you not the oil and wine. (this points to a special protection of the elect in famine times. See 12:14. Zech13:8. Rom.3:1,2; 9:4,5)
 7: And when He had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come and see.”
 8: And I looked, and behold, a pale (=livid horse: and his name that sat on him was Death (=Satan), and Hell followed with him. And power was given to them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword (lies, as God's sword is the truth), and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth (asps, Satan's workers spreading lies. It may indicate the nations supporting “the beast”. See Dan. 7 for the Divine description of “the powers” as “wild beasts”) .

 9: And when He had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that had been slain for the word of God, and for the testimony (=the true Word of God) which they held:
 10: And they cried with a great voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, do You not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?” (See Deut.32:43. Luke 18:3. A call consistent with the day of judgment, not with the present day of grace.)
 11: And a white robe were given to each one of them; and it was said to them, that they should rest yet a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that are about to be killed even as they also had been, should be fulfilled.

   (The seal in which Satan appears. The signs immediately preceding the Advent of
ch.19. Matt.24 covers exactly the period of the six
seals, thus;

Matt.24.    The Seals                 Rev.6 -------------------------------------------------
4,5.    1st. The false Messiah           1,2.
6,7-.   2nd. Wars.                       3,4.
-7-.    3rd. Famines.                    5,6.
-7.     4th. Pestilences.                7,8.
8-28.   5th. Martyrdom's.                 9-11.
29,30.  6th. Signs in heaven of Advent   12-17.
)

 12: And I beheld when He opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there came to be a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the full moon became as blood (The shadow of deception is this great);
 13: And the stars of heaven (i.e. the fallen angels) fell to the earth, even as a fig tree casts her untimely figs (early ones that rot), when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
 14: And the heaven parted asunder as a scroll when it is rolling itself up; and every mountain and island were removed out of their places (as in 2:5
 15: And the kings of the earth (as regards the social fabric, the present conditions will exist when the Lord comes, and the great ones, and the rich ones, and the chief captains, and the mighty ones, and every bondman, and every free one, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains. (They followed the false Christ and were ashamed)
 16: And they say to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us (see Hos.10:8, and cp. Luke 23:30), and hide us from the face of Him That sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb (Only once in the N.T. is “wrath” attributed to the Lord; see Mark 3:5. Elsewhere it pertains to God. “Wrath of the Lamb”! Divine love spurned and rejected turning to judicial “wrath” and destruction. In 5:5 the Lamb-Lion; here, the Lion-Lamb):
 17: For the great day (all preceding judgments lead up to this. See Joel 2:11,31. Zeph.1:14. Cp. Jude 6.) of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" (Answer: You! the elect & very elect.)

7)

 1: And after this I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth (4 stands for things of the earth in biblical numerics), holding fast the four winds of the earth, in order that that the wind (=ruach, or pneuma=spirit) should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. (God will utilize these four spirits to shake the earth at the end of this dispensation. They are currently being held back. Why? God tells us something must happen first.)
 2: And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God (see Ezek.37. Seal placed in your mind. The truth. It keeps Satan's lies & mark of the beast out.): and he cried with a great voice (Stop!) to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea. (=to bring about the end of the 2nd earth age not the end of the world. )
 3: Saying, “Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we shall have sealed the servants of our God inside of their foreheads.” (What is in your forehead? Your brain! God's servants must be sealed with the truth in their minds before the four winds will be released. Those of you in this ministry have work to do. See Haggai 2:20-23.)
 4: And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed a hundred and forty and four thousand (144,000 spirit led people) of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

(v.5-8. These verses foretell a literal sealing of a literal number of people taken from these tribes of Israel. No Israelite now knows for certain his tribe, but the Divine sealers know. 144,000 are set apart for God's purposes. Dan and Ephraim are omitted, Levi and Joseph taking their places. For the reason, see Lev.24:10-16. Deut.29:18-21. Judg.18:2-31. 1 Kings 12:26-33. Hos.4:17. Their restoration to earthly inheritance is shown [Ezek.48], the reason being given in Rom.11:29.)
 5: Of the tribe of Judah were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.
 6: Of ther tribe of Asher were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Naphtali were sealed twelve thousand. of the tribe of Manasseh were sealed twelve thousand
 7: Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were twelve thousand sealed. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.
 8: Of the tribe of of Zebulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

D²* 7:9-8:6. The Second Vision in Heaven.

(Introversion)
D²  A  7:9-12. The heavenly voices and utterances.
     B  13,14. The great multitude. From which place they came.
     B  15-17. The great multitude. Where they are.
    A  8:1-6. The heavenly silence and activity (seventh seal)

 9: After these things I beheld (=saw, later in same Lord's day), and, lo, a great multitude (these are converts during the great tribulation), which no one could number, of all nations, and tribes, and people, and tongues, were standing before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands (only here and in John 12:13. Cp. the "great hosanna" of the Jews on the last day of "Tabernacles");
 10: And they cry with a great voice, saying, “Salvation to our God Which sits upon the throne, an to the Lamb.”
 11: And all the angels were standing round about the throne, and about the elders and the four living creatures, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshiped God,
 12: Saying, “Amen (see 1:6): The blessing (a sevenfold ascription. Cp. 5:12, where it is to the Lamb, while here it is to God), and the glory, and the wisdom, and the thanksgiving (replaces the riches of 5:12), and the honor, and the power and the might, be to our God for ever and ever. Amen.”

 13: And one of the elders asked, saying to me, “Who are these which are arrayed in white robes? (=your righteous acts in flesh on earth, see 19:8) and from which place came they?”
 14: And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” And he said to me, “These are they who come out of the great tribulation (cp. Matt.24:21. See Jer.30:5-7. Dan.12:1. Nothing to do with Christ's suffering and death on the cross), and washed their robes (these wash "thier own robes"-the standing of works, not of grace. For latter see 1 Cor.6:11), and made them white by the blood of the Lamb (i.e. by virtue of. See 1:5; 5:9).
 15: For this cause (or on this account) are they before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His Temple (Hebraism for continually): and He that sits on the throne dwell over them (see John 1:14 and cp. Isa.4:5,6.)
 16: They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor scorching heat.
 17: For the Lamb Which is in the midst of the throne will tend
(or shepherd) them, and shall lead them to living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” (quoted from Isa.49:8-10; 25:8. See also Jer.31:9,10-25. Ezek.47:1,12. When He blots out those that don't belong)

8)

 1: And when He opened the seventh seal, there came to be silence in the heaven about a half an hour. (Silence because the Accuser, Satan, is thrown out of heaven and cast to earth. This is he great hour of temptation. It is a 5 month period, see 9:5)
 2: And I saw the seven angels which stand before God; and to them were given seven trumpets (cp. Num.10:9, &c.
 3 And another angel came and stood at the altar (the altar of God), having a golden censer; and there was given to him much incense (incense symbolic of prayers going up to God, see 5:8), that he should offer it up with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne (Glorious realities in heaven. The small golden altar of the Tabernacle and the larger one of Solomon's Temple were but copies in miniature. See Hab.8:5; 9:23,24).
 4: And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. (God hears your prayers)
 5: And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings (ministers of fire, see Ps.103-104; Rev.10:1-10.), and lightnings, and an earthquake. (Chs. 6 & 7 present the six seals, the sixth carrying on to the end. The seventh seal contains a new series of judgments under the seven trumpets [8:7-11:14] and the seven vials [16:1-18:24]. The seventh seal thus embraces the period of both trumpets and vials [8:7-18:24], and is immediately followed by the Apocalypse [Unveiling of "The Word of God"], the Son of Adam. The 7 trumpets are in exact chronological order and will happen exactly in this order. The first six trumpets relate to the earth, the seventh to heaven [11:15]. The seven are divided into four and three, the last three being woe trumpets. The judgments and woes now to be set forth are just as real, as literal, as the judgments predicted and fulfilled in the past history of Israel; Ex.34:10. Deut.28:10. Isa.11:15,16. Mic.7:13-15)
 6: And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets (they mean action about to take place -Warning!) prepared themselves in order that they might sound. (The 7 trumpets are in Chronological order. Observe the first 6 seals and intuitively recognize the 7 trumpets)
