What Are You Trying To Say?

Quite often, people ask me, "What are you trying to say?"

In my act of expressing myself as an artist through my public access video productions, I do have some very clear, well-defined conclusions, devined from my life's experiances. To me, these ideas are very clear and valid, as they are to some of the veiwers, yet others are confused and and thus ask, "What are you trying to say?"

Basicly, on my shows, I have two ideas: one is that
nudity is not dirty, the other, that people are to busy and too serious. Let me now try to clarify and explain in more detail how I perceive these thoughts.

First, let's consider the concept that nudity is not dirty. Nudity is a natural state, and
clothes are the invention of man. They are not a bad invention, in fact they are at times very practical, it's just that they are not always necessary. When people feel that it is always compulsory to wear clothes that cover the body, the subliminal  message is that we should hide our bodies in shame, thus having to nurture a negative image of ourselves.

We compensate by trying to be known by our choice of clothes, sort of like being identified by by the horse you ride or  the car you drive, instead of who you really are.

Some people fear that men would not be able to control themselves sexually if people all went around naked. While there may be some truth to that, it is an unfortunate insult to mankind that a few would lack such control over their desires or that they would not have sufficient respect for the opposite sex.

The good news is that, at the right times, nudity is good health. It's good to let your body breath through the pores that are all over the body, so you would be encouraged to sleep in the nude, enjoy nudity around the house when posible, and go to nude beaches on good occasions.

Some religeons teach that nudity is immoral and lacking humility, these are what some folks call a "guilt" trip.
Humility is good, but it is not neccesarily related to nudity.

Another problem about nudity is that, thanks to advertising and commerce, certain standards have been devised so as to make some, if not most of us feel that we are not beautiful enough to be seen naked. This is very sad and unfortunate. While it is unhealthy to be exceptionally fat or skinny, most people have no grounds to feel uncomfortable about nudity.

People's bodies are like their faces; there is a great variety of sizes, shapes and colors. Becoming familiar with this variety gives us a better picture of normalcy. Normal is good, so is a little variation.

Parents worry about little children seeing human nudity, which is reality. In effect, the parents are trying to program their children into all the negative aspects of the concept that "Nudity is dirty". The viewing of nudity by children will do them no harm other than the negative vibes that their parents may give them for doing so. It will add to the child's real veiw of humanity.

The Europeans are laughing at us Americans, as they have a healthier view of nudity than we do. They see it as natural and normal.

Now let me address the idea that people are too busy and too serious.

A while back in my life, I got the idea that while life is very full and complicated, it could be simplified by determining just what were the major big questions and answers about life. Questions such as, "What is life? "  "What is life about?"

In my mind, life is being concious of the fact that you are alive and that you have life, a thing you didn't ask for, yet, nonetheless, you have received. Life is that you are alive and aware of it. Yet that is not enough. We perceive life through our emotions, and we learn our emotions through our parents. Parents, of course, are a major, if not the major influance in our lives.

So, when asking "
What is life about?", the answer is that it is about people, because without people, life, for us, would be meaningless.

What are people about? They are about emotions. Emotions are the way we feel and respond to life's events, events which concern and contain people. Our life is our experiances, and whereupon we focus on them. All things are relative, so how we relate to our experiances determines what kind of life we are having.

The things I have just said here are
too serious. Sure, they have good value, but should we go through life only closely examining things? There's this thing called humor, a safety valve to keep us from exploding when we get too serious and too busy. It's good to have the capacity to simply laugh sometimes. Ha-ha! Chuckle-chuckle! Snicker.

Some folks get so wrapped up in their quest for knowledge or entertainment, that they lose awareness of the humane aspects of life; the presence of their fellow man. Life is best when we are aware of and are sensitive of the people we share our lives with on this planet. So, don't be too busy and too serious!

My Lordy me! I is done has preachified the word of Life! Say hallalujah, brother! (sister too) Holy moly, Gargonzoli!
