| I first became aware of healing after being diagnosed with lung cancer and spending some time at the British cancer clinic. I found the holistic approach at the clinic appealed to me on a deep spiritual level. I started to read books on healing and met a Reiki practitioner who gave me my first Reiki healing, after which I felt calm yet energetic and very positive. I wanted to know more about Reiki!! I now realise I was waiting for a teacher and I met Janet who continues to walk with me on this journey, as do numerous friends I have met through Reiki who have offered me their unconditional love and support. Reiki has made a difference to my life, emotionally, spiritually and physically. it has increased my awareness of God's healing powers, and has enabled me to see beyond the superficiality of people and recognise the spirit within them. | In 1998, whilst on holiday in Spain, I was reflecting on my twin sister's increasing pain and disability through arthritis and my own helplessness in being unable to alleviate her distress. Then I discovered Reiki, given to me by a very dear friend. I realised that this was what I had been looking for. I returned to England and so began a wonderful, spiritual journey in which I discovered the reality of unconditional love, healing energy, inner peace, joy, tranquillity and harmony. I received a Reiki 1 and later a Reiki 11 attunement and through this I had the privilege of giving her an attunement and the channelling of this beautiful, divine energy was for both of us a very spiritual and enlightening experience. She is now a Reiki 11 practitioner and her life has been enriched on every level, Physical, emotional and spiritual. I am now returning to Spain to live, but with the loving energies of the Reiki Distance Healing we both realise that there is no problem with time, distance and seperation.
