This is the 'big' Hog from Trumpeter. When first announced in 2000 it was a highly anticipated kit. After building it I all I can say is Trumpeter has a way to go. The fit was OK. Cockpit detail was sadly lacking, however. I had planned on using the BB resin cockpit but trying to get it to fit was an exercise in futility. I opted for the CE resin pit and it fit like a glove. I will say this; you get plenty of weapons to choose from for the load out. The detailed resin engines included are also nice. There's been much talk about the scale inaccuracies but I'm not all that concerened about them. The finished kit looks plenty like a real 'Hog' so I am not troubled. I used decals from Eagle Strike Productions depicting a LA ANG bird used in the 1991 Gulf war.
